Okay, so today I was digging into this whole “Jaylen Warren or Joshua Kelley” thing for my fantasy football. It’s a real head-scratcher, so I figured I’d just run through my whole process and maybe it’ll help someone else out there.

Started with some basic stats
First thing I did was pull up both players’ stats from last season. Just wanted to get a feel for their overall performance. You know, touchdowns, yards, receptions… all that good stuff.
- Jaylen Warren: Looked pretty good as a backup, some decent receiving numbers.
- Joshua Kelley: Kind of inconsistent, but he had a few games where he really popped off.
Looked at the team situations
Next, I figured I needed to see what’s going on with their teams. New coaches? Offensive line changes? All that can make a huge difference.
- Steelers (Warren):They are hyping this “back to smashmouth football”, it should be great for running game.
- Chargers (Kelley):New Offence Coordinator,no one knows what the hell is going on there.
Checked out some expert opinions
After that, I started hunting around for what some of the “experts” were saying. Always take it with a grain of salt, but it can be helpful to see what other people are thinking.
Most of them seemed pretty split. Some were leaning Warren because of the potential for more touches, others were saying Kelley had a higher ceiling if he could stay healthy and consistent. No clear winner, damn!
Watched some game footage
This is where I really spent some time. I found some highlights and even a few full games for both guys. I wanted to see their running styles, how they looked in pass protection, stuff like that.

- Warren: He’s a smaller guy, he runs lower to the ground,he is hard to tackle.
- Kelley:He is stronger, bigger, but seems he is not so flexible.
My conclusion…
Honestly, I’m still kinda torn! It’s a tough one. Warren feels like the safer pick, but Kelley has that boom-or-bust potential that could win you a week.
Right now, I’m leaning slightly towards Warren, just because I think he’ll get more consistent opportunities. But I’m definitely going to keep an eye on Kelley throughout the season. He could be a sneaky pickup if he starts to get more work.
It all depends on your * you like taking chances, go grab * you like safe,go Warren!
