Okay, so today I wanted to try something new at the gym, focusing on bench presses. I’ve seen this guy, Jaylen Warren, doing some impressive stuff, so I got inspired. I mean, I saw this one report where a guy named Rodriguez did 36 reps, so I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
I started with just the bar to get a feel for it. It felt okay, so I added some weights. Nothing too crazy, just enough to feel a little burn. I did a few sets like that, trying to keep good form and all.
Then I bumped up the weight a little bit more. It was getting tough, but I pushed through. I was aiming for around 10 reps each set, just to see where I was at. I was feeling pretty good, so I kept going. Man, it’s harder than it looks!
My Workout Routine
- Warmed up with some light cardio and stretching.
- Started with the bar (45 lbs) for 2 sets of 15 reps.
- Added 25 lbs plates on each side (95 lbs total) for 3 sets of 12 reps.
- Increased to 45 lbs plates on each side (135 lbs total) for 3 sets of 10 reps.
- Tried 55 lbs plates on each side (155 lbs total) for 2 sets of 8 reps. It was tough!
- Cooled down with some more stretching.
I didn’t hit 36 reps like that Rodriguez guy, but I definitely felt the workout. My arms were like jelly afterward! But hey, it’s all about starting somewhere, right? I’m going to keep at it, maybe add a little more weight each time, and see how much I can improve. It’s a challenge, but I’m up for it. Gotta keep pushing those limits, you know?
I finished my gym session feeling pumped, not gonna lie. It’s cool to try new things and see what your body can do. I think I’ll make this a regular part of my routine now. Maybe one day I’ll be able to do 36 reps, who knows? For now, I’m just happy I gave it a try and had fun doing it. And documented it all here, maybe one day someone will see it and be inspired, that would be nice.
