Alright, let’s talk about this Scottie Scheffler fella and his Nike deal, ya know? I ain’t no fancy writer, just a plain talkin’ person, so bear with me.

Sounds like he’s got hisself set, good for him.
Now, this Nike deal, that’s a big one, I hear. Nike, they make all sorts of shoes and clothes, seen ‘em on TV. They seem to like this Scottie fella, givin’ him money and stuff. They even sent him a “surprise gift” one time, before some golf game. Don’t know what it was, maybe some fancy shoes or somethin’. Makes ya wonder how much money he is gettin’ from them.
Scottie’s got a caddie too, a fella named Ted Scott. He helps Scottie carry his clubs and such. That Ted, he’s gonna make a pile of money this year, more than some of them other golf fellas even! Can you believe it? Just carryin’ clubs and makin’ more money than the fellas actually hittin’ the ball. This golf business, it’s somethin’ else.
Seems like Scottie’s been real busy. He’s always playin’ golf somewhere. Folks are always talkin’ about him, and this new club deal, and that new sponsor. Heard he even had to find a new caddie for a bit, ‘cause Ted had to go to his daughter’s graduation. Imagine that! A grown man goin’ to high school graduation. But good for him, family’s important, ya know? They got some PGA Tour chaplain, a friend of Scottie’s, to carry the bags for a while. Now that’s a good friend, I tell ya.
And speaking of busy, seems like Nike’s always got somethin’ new comin’ out. New shoes, new clothes, always somethin’. They got a website and all, but I ain’t never been on it. Don’t even know how to use them computer things. But my grandkids, they’re always lookin’ at stuff online. Maybe they’ve seen them new shoes of Scottie’s on there.
This whole golf thing, it’s kinda confusin’ to me. All these tournaments and sponsors and rankings. But I know one thing, Scottie Scheffler is doin’ somethin’ right. He’s winnin’ and makin’ money, and that’s what matters, I guess.
