Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Gunnar Henderson fella. Folks been askin’ if he got himself hitched, or somethin’ like that. Seems like a nice young man, plays that baseball real good for the Orioles, you know, that Baltimore team.
Now, I heard tell, and this is just what folks are whisperin’, that he went and got himself engaged! Yep, to a gal named Katherine Lee Bishop. Engaged! That’s what they call it when you promise to marry someone. Happened back in February 2024, so they say. February, that’s when it’s still kinda cold out, but I guess love warms ya up, eh?
They say this Katherine gal, she’s from Thomasville, Alabama. And Gunnar, he’s from Selma, Alabama. Not too far apart, them towns. Only ’bout 54 miles, I reckon. They knew each other for a while, see, even when Katherine was in high school. But they didn’t really get together until October… well, the year ain’t important, is it? What matters is they found each other.

Folks were real happy for ’em. Saw some pictures online, you know, on that Facebook thingy my grandkids showed me. Lots of congratulations and such. Gunnar, he’s a third baseman and a shortstop, whatever that means. Sounds important though. He plays hard, I seen him on TV once. Runs fast and hits that ball real far. A good strong young man, he is. And Katherine, she seems like a sweet gal from what I’ve seen in them pictures. They look happy together, that’s for sure.
