Alright, so I decided to check out this Brayden Ray kid over in NXT the other day. Heard the name floating around a bit, figured I’d see what was going on myself. Didn’t have much else planned, so why not, right?

Fired up the network, scrolled through some recent shows. Found a segment with him, maybe a match, maybe just a promo, don’t quite recall which I hit first. Just wanted to get a feel for the guy. You know, see how he carries himself, how he looks, the basics.
My Sit-Down Session
So, I watched his entrance. Then I watched it again. Sometimes you catch more the second time. Tried to see what they were trying to sell with him. Is he intense? Is he goofy? Is he supposed to be intimidating? It wasn’t immediately obvious, which isn’t always a bad thing, I guess. Makes you think a little.
Then I got to see him in the ring, or maybe talking. Can’t remember precisely, I watched a few clips back-to-back. Took some mental notes, didn’t write anything down this time, just kept it rolling around upstairs.
- His Look: Kinda standard issue at first glance, but there was something slightly different. Maybe the gear, maybe just his expression.
- Movement: How he moved around the ropes, how he stood. Was he confident? Nervous? Hard to tell sometimes on TV.
- Connection (or lack of): Tried to gauge if he was connecting with the crowd there. Sometimes you can feel it even through the screen, other times it’s dead air. This felt… somewhere in the middle.
I spent maybe, I don’t know, half an hour just focusing on him across different appearances if I could find them. Just skipping through, trying to piece together what his whole deal is supposed to be. It’s a process, you know? You don’t just watch one thing and get it.
One thing that stuck out, maybe from a little promo piece or something I saw, was how it ended. Super simple. Just the word.

Later.
Yeah, that was it. Just “Later.” Didn’t make a big fuss. Kinda abrupt. Left me scratching my head a bit, thinking, “Okay, what’s that mean?” Is it a threat? A promise? Or just… see ya later? Who knows. Maybe that’s the point.
Anyway, that was my little dive into Brayden Ray in NXT. Just watching, observing, seeing what’s what. Nothing revolutionary found, just putting in the time to see for myself instead of just reading about it. We’ll see where it goes with him, I suppose. That’s usually how it works.
