So, I’ve been watching a lot of wrestling lately, and this guy, Ilja Dragunov, he’s become one of my favorites. I mean, the intensity this dude brings is just insane. I first saw him a few years back, in that match against Finn Balor at Worlds Collide in 2020. Man, what a fight that was! It’s still up on YouTube, and if you haven’t seen it, you really should check it out.
After that, I started digging deeper into his matches. Found these two epic showdowns he had with WALTER for the NXT UK Championship. Seriously, both matches were just brutal and amazing. They really showed what Dragunov is all about. He’s tough, resilient, and never backs down, no matter who he’s facing.

Becoming a Fan
I kept following his matches, trying to watch every one I could find. It’s a bit tough to keep up sometimes, ’cause they are not always easy to find. But the more I watched, the more I became a fan. It’s not just his in-ring skills, but also the passion and intensity he brings to every match. He really puts his heart and soul into it, and you can feel it.
Recently, there’s been some talk about who he might face next. Some people are saying that Melo, you know, the heel, might challenge him at Roadblock. I mean that makes sense, that’s a good guess. It’d be a crazy match for sure. Melo’s got that heel thing going on, cheating and all, so it would be an interesting dynamic against Dragunov’s more straightforward, hard-hitting style.
Looking Forward to the Next Big Fight
So yeah, that’s my journey with Ilja Dragunov so far. I started watching him after that killer match with Balor, got hooked on his fights with WALTER, and now I’m just following along, excited to see what he does next. I’m really hoping he gets that match with Melo, or someone else big, soon. It’s always a treat to watch him in the ring, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. He’s definitely one of the most exciting wrestlers out there right now, in my humble opinion.
