Okay, so I’ve been grinding it out in Honor of Kings lately, and I’ve been messing around with this whole reflect damage thing. I was wondering, does reflect damage give damage reduction in Honor of Kings? Let me walk you through what I did.

Experiment Setup
First, I jumped into a custom game. I grabbed a hero with some reflect ability, I choose Armored Titan because of his passive, and then I thought, “How do I even test this?” So, I had a buddy hop in, and picked a hero with some serious punch, Luban No.7 with a crazy high physical attack to be exact. We agreed that he would just stand still and take the damage as I attacked.
The Actual Test
- Round 1: I started whacking away at him to get a baseline for how much damage I was dealing normally. My attacks were doing like 200 damage per hit. Pretty standard.
- Round 2: Then, I tried popping my reflect skill, the one that’s supposed to bounce back some of the damage. I figured I’d take less damage while it was active, but honestly, it was hard to tell. It did seem like I was taking a bit less, like maybe around 180-190 instead of 200, but nothing groundbreaking.
- Round 3: My buddy started hitting me, with his reflect ability active. Each of his hits did around 500 damage. After I hit him with my reflect active, he confirmed he was taking damage, but his attacks still dealt 500 damage to me, it didn’t reduce. So I thought maybe it’s just a flat amount of damage reflected, not a percentage.
Observations and More Questions
I messed around with some different item builds too. I stacked some gear that’s supposed to boost reflect or give me damage reduction, but the results were all over the place. Sometimes it seemed to make a difference, sometimes it didn’t. It’s tough to say for sure because there are so many other factors in play, like armor, magic resistance, and other hero abilities.
One thing I did notice, though, is that true damage seems to ignore reflect altogether. I had another friend use a hero with true damage attacks, and it was like my reflect wasn’t even there. I was taking full damage, and they weren’t taking any reflect damage back. So, that’s a bummer.
I also tried using support and mage heroes with the reflect ability. The ability did reduce the enemies damage output for a certain percentage, but it did not reduce the damage taken for me.
Conclusion (For Now)
Honestly, I’m still not 100% sure how reflect damage works with damage reduction in Honor of Kings. It feels like it should reduce the damage you take, but from my tests, it’s not super clear-cut. It might reduce it a little, but it’s not a huge difference. Or maybe it only works against certain types of damage, I really do not know. Or, maybe I’m just doing it all wrong!

Anyways, I’m gonna keep messing around with it. If any of you have figured this out, let me know! I’m all ears.
