Alright, let’s talk about how I figured out this whole “how to demo zzz characters” thing. It wasn’t exactly straightforward, but I got there in the end, and I’m here to share the whole messy process with you.
So, first off, I was trying to find a way to test out some characters in this game, Zenless Zone Zero. You know, get a feel for them before actually committing. I saw something about a “Training Mode” in some VR Device, so that seemed like a good place to start. I spent a good chunk of time poking around, trying to find this mode.
Digging into Character Demos
While I was searching, I stumbled upon these “Character Demos.” Apparently, these are videos the Zenless Zone Zero folks put out showing off the characters. I watched a few, and they’re pretty cool. You get to see the characters’ looks, hear their voices, and see their moves and skills. It’s like a little sneak peek. I started watching more of them, just to get a sense of the different characters.
Figuring Out Proxy Rank
Then I ran into this thing called “Proxy Rank.” It’s basically a level cap for a bunch of stuff in the game, including your characters. I needed to figure out how to raise this rank if I wanted to get anywhere. I did some more digging and found some guides on how to do it. It involved a lot of grinding, but hey, that’s part of the game, right?
Learning About Agents
Next up, I had to learn about these “Agents.” They’re the characters you can actually get in the game. I found out they come in different ranks, like S or A, and they have different attack styles, like Attack, Stun, and so on. I started making a list of the Agents I thought looked interesting based on their demos and their specialties.
The Final Callback Event
Then I discovered this “Final Callback” event. It sounded promising because it lets you test out three specific Agents in a combat demo. I jumped right in and tried it out. It was a bit limited since it was only three characters, and they change the roster periodically, but it was better than nothing. I made some notes on how each of the featured Agents felt in combat.
Stable Gacha and Selectable Agents
I also found something about a “Stable Gacha Guide.” Gacha, as I understand it, is like a lottery system for getting characters. This guide talked about the best Agents you could get from it and how to use “Selectable Agents.” It was a lot of information to take in, but I managed to get the gist of it. I decided to try my luck with the gacha system a few times, just to see what I could get.
Quick Assist and Support Points
There was also this whole thing about “Quick Assist” and “Assist Points.” Basically, you can call in other characters for a quick attack. I learned how to charge these points and trigger the assist. It seemed like a useful tactic, so I practiced using it in some battles. I played around with different combinations to see which ones worked best.
The Permanent Banner Trick
Finally, I found this little trick. You can go to the permanent banner, you know, the one that’s always there, and there’s a button at the bottom right. You click it, and boom, you can demo all the characters! This was exactly what I was looking for! I spent a good amount of time testing out each character, getting a feel for their moves and how they played. I found this agent named Grace Howard. She is one of best characters with high AOE attacks. I am so happy that I could obtain her.
So, yeah, that’s how I figured out how to demo characters in Zenless Zone Zero. It was a bit of a journey, but I’m glad I stuck with it. Now I have a much better idea of which characters I want to go for when I actually start playing the game seriously. Hope this helps anyone else who’s trying to figure this stuff out!
