Okay, so, I was messing around in Baldur’s Gate 3, right? And I stumbled upon this “Free the Artist” quest. Sounds simple enough, but it led me to this creepy dude named Mystic Carrion. Let me tell you, this guy was a real piece of work. So, I got the quest, and the whole thing seemed pretty straightforward until I actually met the guy. He was all cryptic and weird.

After facing several bosses, I thought this one can not be that hard, but I’m forced to face The Mystic.
I figured, “Alright, let’s get this over with,” but then I realized it wasn’t that simple. Turns out, to actually beat this guy, you gotta destroy his heart first. Yeah, you heard that right. His heart. And guess where it’s hidden? In some jars tucked away inside this other character, Thrumbo. Classic, right?
Anyway, I went hunting for Thrumbo and found him without too much trouble. The jars were inside him, just as I was told. I decided to use ranged attacks to smash them, seemed like the safest bet.
- First, I tracked down Thrumbo.
- Second, I found the jars inside him.
- Third, I started blasting those jars with everything I had. Arrows, spells, you name it.
Once I smashed all the jars, I thought, “Cool, now I can take on Mystic Carrion.” But here’s a tip from me to you: Don’t kill him right away, figure out the quest first. The quest is time sensitive and I killed him too early, the zombies appeared and I followed them, they helped me figure out the quest.
But I killed him no matter my interactions with the organs, I can legit enter the city now!

So, yeah, that’s my story of dealing with Mystic Carrion. It was a bit of a hassle, but I got through it. Destroy the heart in the jars, and then you can take him down. Piece of cake… well, sort of.
Important Note
Just remember, don’t rush into fighting him without dealing with the heart thing first. You’ve been warned!
