Okay, so I’ve been playing this game, and there’s this quest where I need to find a guy named Harris. The only clue I have is his IP address. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong! It turned out to be a real pain in the ass.
First, I had to meet up with this guy called Jackie Wells. We’re supposed to work together on this, but he’s more interested in cracking jokes than actually helping. Anyway, we went to see River, another character who’s supposed to be the brains of the operation. Turns out, River needs my help to find his nephew, Randy, who’s gone missing. I was not so happy about this because I thought I should be the one who needs help.
River told me I needed to get Harris’ IP address, and to do that, I needed to get an Intelligence rating of 12. Seriously? I mean, who even thinks of this stuff? Luckily, I had been leveling up my character’s smarts, so I just made it. Phew!
Next, we went to Randy’s house. Creepy place, let me tell you. Found some drugs in his bathroom, which was gross. Then, there was this locked cabinet in his room. I thought to myself “This is a common scenario in this kind of game.” And the real kicker? River wanted me to hack into Randy’s computer! I spent some time searching around. And there’s a poster on the wall in his room, guess what’s the password? “Liberum Arbitrium”, right there on the poster. I mean, come on, the kid could’ve been a bit more creative with his passwords. I typed in the password and the computer is opened! I was so excited!
Once I got into the computer, I finally found the IP address I was looking for. It was hidden in some obscure file, but I found it. The feeling was like when you found the TV remote after searching all over the room.
Here’s the breakdown of what I did:
- Met with Jackie Wells.
- Talked to River, who needed my help.
- Got my Intelligence to 12.
- Went to Randy’s house.
- Found drugs in the bathroom and a locked cabinet in the bedroom.
- Figured out Randy’s computer password from a poster (“Liberum Arbitrium”).
- Hacked into the computer and found Harris’ IP address.
So yeah, that’s how I got Harris’ IP address. Not exactly a walk in the park, but I got it done. Now, hopefully, I can finally move on with the main quest and find out what the heck is going on in this crazy game!
