He ain’t the usual sort, this Blade, nah. They done made him part of the Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 update, which came out on July 19, 2023. That’s when people first got a good look at him and his special banner. Now, what’s this banner business? I reckon it’s when they bring out a character for a bit, and you got a good chance to get ‘em for your team if you’re lucky enough, kinda like a lottery or a fair game.
So Blade, he came out with this Phase 1 banner from July 19 to August 9, 2023. But it ain’t just him on that banner, no. They also had a few other characters to make it more tempting. I reckon they thought, “Let’s throw in some extra good folks!” They added Kafka, Luka, and some other four-star characters for folks who was lookin’ for a bit more than just Blade. That was a mighty fine chance for anyone wantin’ to get a good mix of strong folks for their team.
Now, don’t go thinkin’ that Blade’s just another pretty face in the game. Nah, he’s got somethin’ special about him. He’s what folks call a “second DPS unit,” which means he ain’t the main damage dealer, but he sure helps out when it comes to takin’ hits and coverin’ up weaknesses in the team. If you got him, you don’t have to worry so much when things get tough, ‘cause Blade can take a punch and make sure the rest of your folks don’t get too hurt. Some folks think the best combo with Blade is when he teams up with Jingliu. They make a mighty fine pair, I reckon.
Now, if you missed that first run, don’t worry none. Blade got a rerun in December. So, if you didn’t catch him back in the summer, you could still get another crack at it. And folks sure did jump at the chance to try again. It’s always nice to see that second chance, don’t you think?
But let me tell ya, folks also been talkin’ ‘bout the Light Cone Blade comes with. That’s another piece of the puzzle, you see. A Light Cone is like a little extra boost to a character’s power, and Blade’s special Light Cone is called “A Secret Vow.” Now, this here Light Cone helps increase his damage by 20%, so that means when he goes into battle, he’s packin’ a little more punch than usual. That’s the kind of thing that can really make a difference in a tough fight.
So, when you got Blade and his Light Cone together, you’re lookin’ at a character who’s gonna be handy in the heat of battle. He ain’t just there to look pretty; he’s there to make sure you win. And don’t forget about those four-star characters that show up with his banner, like Kafka and Luka. They all got their own special abilities that can really make your team strong, whether you’re fightin’ big ol’ bosses or just tryin’ to make it through a tough mission.
If you ask me, getting Blade is like adding a big ol’ hammer to your toolbox. He ain’t the first thing you reach for, but when you need him, you’ll be glad you got him. And with that rerun, more folks are gonna be lucky enough to get him on their side. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just startin’ out, he’s a good one to have.
So if you’re still wonderin’ whether to pull for Blade or not, I’d say go ahead and give it a try. Don’t let the chance slip by, ‘cause you never know when it’ll come ‘round again. After all, there’s always somethin’ special about a character who can help your team cover all kinds of weaknesses. Blade’s got the goods, and if you ask me, he’s worth havin’ around.
