Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Harold Varner. You know, the golfer. Folks keep askin’ about him, so I figured I’d spill what I know, the way I know how.
Who’s Harold Varner anyway?
Well, he’s one of them golf players, you see. Plays on the TV sometimes. Big strong fella, hits that little white ball a country mile. They say he’s pretty good, though I don’t watch much golf myself. Too much walkin’ around for my taste.
What about his agent? That Steinberg fella?
Yeah, yeah, this Mark Steinberg. He’s a big shot agent, they say. Represents all sorts of fancy athletes. Even that Tiger fella, you know, the one everyone talks about. Sounds like he’s good at his job, gettin’ these golfers all sorts of deals and money. Harold, he went and hired this Steinberg, I reckon to help him with all that business stuff. Golf ain’t just about hittin’ balls, ya know? It’s about money too. And this Steinberg, he’s supposed to be the best at gettin’ it.
- He works for some big company, Excel Sports Management they call it. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
- He’s got other big name golfers too, like that Morikawa boy and that Justin Thomas fella. Harold’s in good company, I guess.
Harold and that LIV Golf thing.
Now, last year, or maybe the year before, I don’t rightly remember, Harold went and joined up with this new golf thing called LIV Golf. Folks were all stirred up about it. Some said it was good, some said it was bad. I don’t know nothin’ about it, but it seems like Harold made a choice. Maybe Steinberg helped him with that decision, I wouldn’t be surprised. These agents, they’re always lookin’ for the best deal for their players.
How much money does Harold make?
They say he made a good chunk of change last year, maybe a million dollars or so. That’s a lot of money, even for a golf player. That’s just from playin’ golf, mind you. Probably makes even more from them endorsements and such. That’s where that Steinberg fella comes in, I reckon. He’s the one who makes sure Harold gets paid.
And who’s this Chris Rice fella?
Well, Chris, he’s Harold’s caddy. You know, the fella who carries the clubs. He’s been with other golfers too, big names some of ‘em. Seems like Harold’s got a good team around him. You need a good caddy, I guess, someone to tell you which club to use and how hard to hit the ball. It’s all a team effort, even in golf.
Was it a tough year for Harold?
I heard some folks sayin’ it wasn’t the best year for Harold. Golf’s a tough game, you know. One day you’re winnin’, the next you’re missin’ every shot. But that’s life, ain’t it? Ups and downs. Harold, he seems like a tough fella, I bet he’ll bounce back. And with that Steinberg agent by his side, he’ll probably be just fine. They say he’s the best in the business for a reason.
So, what’s the deal with Harold Varner?
Well, he’s a golfer, a pretty good one at that. He’s got a fancy agent, Mark Steinberg, who helps him make money and make decisions. He plays in this LIV Golf thing, and he’s got a good caddy, Chris Rice. He makes a lot of money, though last year wasn’t the best. That’s about all I know. Just a regular fella, I reckon, who happens to be real good at hittin’ a little white ball. And he’s got smart people helpin’ him along the way, that’s for sure.
Harold plays on the PGA Tour too, you know. That’s the big golf league, the one everybody watches. He’s been playin’ there for a while now. Made a name for himself, I hear. Seems like he’s tryin’ to do both, this LIV Golf and the PGA Tour. Busy fella, I tell ya.
And that PGA Championship, that’s a big deal too. Harold’s played in that, I think. It’s one of the big tournaments, where all the best golfers go to play. Win that one, and you’re set for life, I reckon. Don’t know if Harold’s ever won it, but he’s been there, that’s for sure.
Well, that’s all I got on this Harold Varner fella and his agent. Hope it makes some sense to ya. It’s just golf talk, as far as I can tell. And money talk, of course. Seems like that’s all folks care about these days.
Just remember this: Harold hits the ball, Steinberg gets the money, and Chris carries the clubs. That’s the whole story, right there.
