Well, howdy there! Today, I’m gonna yap about somethin’ fancy, somethin’ I saw in a magazine at the doctor’s office – a gold bathtub! Can ya believe it? Them city folks, they sure got some wild ideas. But hey, a tub’s a tub, right? Whether it’s gold or just plain ol’ white, ya still gotta clean it. So, let’s talk about keepin’ that tub spick and span.
First off, that magazine said somethin’ about pickin’ the right cleaner. Now, I ain’t got no fancy cleaners like them city folks. I just use what I got – some good ol’ vinegar and bakin’ soda. That magazine lady, she called it “non-abrasive cleaner.” Fancy words, huh? Anyway, seems like even them fancy gold tubs can’t handle the rough stuff.
- First, ya sprinkle some bakin’ soda in the tub. Just like you’re dustin’ a cake, but don’t eat this stuff, ya hear?
- Then, ya mix up some vinegar and water. Don’t need much, just enough to make it a little soupy.
- Pour that vinegar water on the bakin’ soda. It’ll fizzle up like a mad hornet, that’s how ya know it’s workin’.
- Let it sit for a bit, maybe while ya go fetch a glass of iced tea.
- Then, ya scrub that tub. I just use an old rag, but that magazine lady said somethin’ about a “sponge.” Whatever floats yer boat, I say.
- Once you’re done scrubbin’, ya rinse it all down good. Gotta get all that bakin’ soda and vinegar out.
Now, I ain’t never seen a gold tub in my life, but that magazine made it sound like they’re made outta different stuff. They talked about copper, stainless steel, and somethin’ called “cast iron.” Sounded heavy! But the cleanin’ part, it seemed pretty much the same. Just gotta be gentle, ya know? Don’t wanna scratch up yer fancy tub, gold or not. That magazine lady also went on and on about enamel bathtubs and how important it is to keep them clean to make them last longer, she said you gotta use gentle cleaners, not that harsh stuff and she said you gotta clean it regularly, whatever that means, but it sounds important, I tell you what!
The magazine also said something about keeping your tub clean if you got that “hard water”, they called it. It said if you want to fix it the best way is to get one of them water “softening” systems, which costs a pretty penny I’d bet. So I think I’ll stick to my vinegar and baking soda, seems to do the trick just fine.
Keepin’ it clean is important, that’s for sure. That magazine lady said it keeps the tub lookin’ new and gets rid of all them germs. Ain’t nobody want a dirty tub, that’s for sure! And cleanin’ it regular, well, that just makes sense, don’t it? Like washin’ dishes after supper. Ya don’t let them pile up, do ya? Same goes for the tub.
So, whether ya got a gold tub or just a plain ol’ one, keepin’ it clean ain’t rocket science. Just some good ol’ elbow grease and a little bit of know-how. And if ya ever do get yerself a gold tub, well, congratulations! But remember, it still needs a good scrubbin’ now and then. That’s just common sense, ya know?
And that’s about all I gotta say about gold bathtubs and cleanin’ them. Hope it helped ya some. Now, if ya’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some biscuits.
