Okay, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with this Gio Reyna card in FC 24. I’d heard some people saying it was great, others not so much. Figured I’d give it a shot myself and see how he played.
First off, I jumped into the Ultimate Team mode. Needed to get my hands on that Reyna card. Checked the market, and boom, there he was. Not too pricey, which was a good start. Snapped him up and slotted him into my squad.
Getting Started
Started off with a few Squad Battles matches, just to get a feel for him. Right away, I noticed his dribbling was pretty slick. He felt smooth on the ball, weaving through defenders. Tried out a few skill moves, and yeah, he could pull them off without feeling clunky.
- Dribbling: Really good. Felt agile and responsive.
- Passing: Decent. Could pick out a pass, nothing too fancy though.
- Shooting: A bit of a mixed bag. Some shots flew in, others were way off.
- Pace: Not the fastest, but not slow either. Got around the pitch okay.
Diving into Rivals
After getting the hang of him in Squad Battles, I took the plunge and headed into Division Rivals. This is where things got interesting. Faced some tough opponents, and Reyna’s performance was a bit up and down. In some games, he was a beast, scoring goals and creating chances. Other games, he kind of disappeared. Felt like he struggled against really physical defenders.
Weekend League Test
Decided to give him a real test in the Weekend League. This is where the best players are, so it was a good way to see what he was really made of. Honestly, he surprised me a bit. He managed to score some crucial goals, and his dribbling was a real asset. But again, his consistency was an issue. Some games he was great, others not so much.
Final Thoughts
So, after playing a bunch of games with Gio Reyna, what’s the verdict? He’s a fun card to use, that’s for sure. His dribbling is top-notch, and he can definitely score goals. But, he’s not the most consistent player. Might not be the best choice if you’re looking for someone who’s going to perform every single game. But if you want a player who can pull off some magic moments, he’s worth a try. Just don’t expect him to carry your team every time. It wasn’t perfect, but I still learned somethings by doing this, and it’s really fun.
