Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a new tattoo for a while now. I’ve always admired Sean Brady’s work – his style is just so clean and bold. So, I decided to finally take the plunge and book a consultation with him. Let me tell you about the whole experience.
Getting Started
First things first, I stalked his Instagram for like, weeks. Seriously, I went through every single post, trying to get a feel for his different designs and what I liked best. He does a lot of traditional American stuff, but with a really modern twist. That’s what I was going for.
Then, I sent him an email. I was a bit nervous, you know? Like, what if he’s super busy or doesn’t like my ideas? But I just explained what I was thinking of, and I attached a few reference photos of some elements I liked.
The Consultation
He actually got back to me pretty quickly! We scheduled a consultation at his shop. When I got there, the place was awesome – super clean, really cool vibe. He greeted me and we sat down to chat.
We talked about my ideas for about an hour. I had this rough concept of a classic anchor, but with some specific flowers intertwined. He listened carefully, asked a bunch of questions, and then he started sketching right there. It was amazing to see it come to life!
The Tattoo Process
We booked the actual tattoo appointment for a few weeks later. When the day finally arrived, I was a mix of excited and nervous. I mean, it’s permanent, right?

He showed me the final design, and it was even better than I imagined. He had taken my ideas and made them so much cooler. Then, he got everything prepped – sterilizing everything, setting up his station. It was all very professional.
- He started with the outline, and honestly, it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would.
- Then, he moved onto the shading and details. That’s where his skill really shone.
- He worked steadily and meticulously.
It took a few hours, but the time flew by. He made sure to show the mirror to check on the progress, and to make sure I’m happy with the result.
The Finished Product!
When he was finished, I was blown away. It looked incredible! The lines were so crisp, the shading was perfect, and it just had this amazing depth to it. Seriously, it’s a work of art. He explained the caring instruction after done, and answered some of my questions.
I’m so happy I went with Sean Brady. The whole process was great, and the tattoo is even better than I could have hoped for. If you’re thinking about getting some ink, definitely check him out!
