Okay, so I was messing around with Street Fighter 6 today, right? And I got super annoyed that it wasn’t full screen. Like, who wants to play with those black bars on the side? No thanks!

First thing I did, naturally, was dive into the game’s settings. I went to the graphics options, looked for resolution settings, and tried every single resolution listed. No luck! Some resolutions made it worse, others just stayed windowed. Frustrating!
Then I thought, “Maybe it’s a driver issue?” I have an NVIDIA card, so I went straight to the NVIDIA Control Panel. Right-clicked on the desktop, opened that bad boy up, and started digging. I went to “Adjust desktop size and position.” Tried changing the scaling mode, messing with the override settings… still nothing! Street Fighter 6 just refused to go full screen.
At this point, I was getting a little ticked off. I started Googling. I tried all the obvious search terms: “Street Fighter 6 full screen,” “SF6 not full screen,” “Street Fighter 6 windowed mode fix.” Read a bunch of forum posts, Reddit threads… mostly people with the same problem and no real solutions.
One thread mentioned something about Alt+Enter. I thought, “Yeah, right, I already tried that.” But I was desperate, so I launched the game again, and whacked Alt+Enter. And… nothing. Still windowed.
But THEN! I noticed something. The game sort of flashed when I hit Alt+Enter. So I tried it again, but this time I held the Alt key down for a second longer. BAM! Full screen! I have no idea why holding the key down makes a difference, but it freaking worked.

Here’s the step-by-step, just in case you’re as dumbfounded as I was:
- Launch Street Fighter 6.
- Wait for it to fully load (past the Capcom logos and everything).
- Press and HOLD Alt+Enter for like, a full second or two.
- Profit! (Hopefully)
Honestly, I have no idea if this will work for everyone, but it worked for me. Might be some weird interaction with my monitor or graphics card. Who knows? But it’s worth a shot, right?
So yeah, that’s how I got Street Fighter 6 to full screen. A dumb, janky workaround, but hey, it works. Let me know in the comments if this helps you out, or if you found another solution. I’m curious!
Now I can finally play without feeling like I’m watching the game through a tiny window. Time to get my butt kicked online!
