Alright, let’s gab about them fancy houses down in Jupiter, Florida. You know, the ones them rich folks buy. Heard tell they got some real expensive ones down there, the kind that cost more money than I ever seen in my whole life.
Now, I ain’t never been to Jupiter myself, but my niece, she told me all about it. Said it’s a place where all the big shots live. Millionaires and billionaires, she says. And they all got these big, fancy houses. Makes my little shack look like a, well, a shack!
They talkin’ ’bout the most expensive house in Jupiter, FL, like it’s somethin’ everybody knows. Heard tell it sold for a whole bunch of money. Millions and millions, I reckon. More money than you could shake a stick at, that’s for sure. My niece, she said it was somethin’ like forty-five million dollars! Can you imagine? Forty-five million! What in the world would you even do with that much money? Buy a whole town, I guess.
She said this house, it’s right on the water. Got its own beach, I bet. Probably got more bathrooms than my whole house got rooms! And the kitchen, I bet it’s big enough to hold a whole church picnic. You could probably fit my whole family in that kitchen and still have room to spare. And them fancy appliances, the kind that do everything for you. Makes me tired just thinkin’ about it.
- They say Jupiter Island is where the super-rich folks hang out. Safe place, they say. Not many people livin’ there, but the ones that do, they got money. Even the littlest houses cost millions. Makes you wonder what they do for a livin’. Probably ain’t workin’ in no fields, that’s for sure.
- And then there’s this place called Admirals Cove. Folks say it’s the best place to live in Jupiter. Real fancy-pants, you know? Elite, they call it. Luxury, that’s another word they use. Means expensive, I figure. Probably got gates and guards and all that. Keepin’ out the riff-raff, you know? Like me.
I heard tell there was a house sold in Martin County, but it was in Jupiter, for almost ten million dollars. Ten million! And that was just the most expensive one sold that month! Imagine how many cheaper houses they sold. It’s enough to make your head spin. They say it had a whole lot of waterfront. Five hundred feet, they said. That’s a lot of water, ain’t it? Enough to park a whole fleet of boats, I reckon.
They look at the price of the houses and the price per square foot to figure out the most expensive neighborhood. Square foot? What in tarnation is a square foot? Sounds like somethin’ you measure with your shoes. But I guess it matters to them rich folks. They’re paying by the foot, seems like. More feet, more money. Simple as that.
So, this house for forty-five million, that’s the priciest one on the market right now, they say. Imagine that! The priciest one! Makes you wonder what it looks like inside. Probably got gold toilets and diamond doorknobs. And servants, I bet. Lots of servants. To do all the work, you know? Cookin’ and cleanin’ and all that. I ain’t never had no servants. Done all my own work my whole life.
They even show you pictures of these expensive houses sometimes. Big, fancy places. Swimming pools and tennis courts and all that. Stuff I ain’t never had no use for. But I guess if you got that much money, you gotta spend it on somethin’. Might as well be a big fancy house, I reckon.
Jupiter, Florida, sounds like a place for the rich and famous. Not for folks like me. But it’s interesting to hear about, ain’t it? All them big, expensive houses. Makes you dream a little, even if you know you ain’t never gonna live in one. It’s like readin’ one of them fairy tales. Princes and princesses in big castles. Well, Jupiter’s got its own princes and princesses, I guess. And their castles are made of concrete and glass instead of stone.
Anyways, that’s all I know about them fancy houses in Jupiter. Just what I heard tell. Maybe one day I’ll win the lottery and go see for myself. But until then, I’ll just stick to my little shack. It ain’t much, but it’s home. And it’s paid for!
