Okay, so I got really into the Arnold Palmer Invitational recently, and I wanted to see who’s won it over the years. I mean, it’s a big deal tournament, so the list of winners has gotta be interesting, right?

Digging for the Winners
First, I needed to find a list of past winners. Sounds simple enough, but it took some looking around!
- I started with a straight-up general search.
- Found, after some poking around, a better resource with the full winner’s list. Sweet!
Organizing the Info
Now that I had all these names, I wanted to get a better look. I’m a visual guy, it helps to keep my eyes on the data.
- So I copied the whole list of winners.
- I opened up a new document.
- Then I pasted the list into my doc to study on it.
Checking Out the Champs
With the list in front of me, I could finally start checking out the names. And yeah, it’s a pretty impressive lineup!
- I recognized a bunch of the big names right away, of course, many big names in golf has been in this game.
- I saw a few repeat winners, which is always cool to see, like I can know who were the kings in different eras.
- I even noticed some winners I hadn’t heard of before, which sent me down a few rabbit holes looking them up!
Overall, it was a fun little project. It’s always interesting to learn some history. Now I feel like I’ve got a better handle on the Arnold Palmer Invitational and its place in the golf world!
