Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Jimmy Buffett fella and that there Citizens Bank Park. I ain’t never been to one of them fancy concerts, ya know, but I heard things. Folks talk, and you pick up stuff.
So, this Jimmy Buffett, he’s a singer man. Folks say he sings about beaches and margaritas. Sounds like a good time, I reckon. He ain’t no spring chicken, been around a while, they say. Heard he had a bunch of songs, real popular ones. They even got a name for ’em, “The Big 8” or somethin’. One of ’em is called “Margaritaville.” That’s the one everybody seems to know, even me!
Now, this Citizens Bank Park, that’s a big place in Philly. They play baseball there. Lots and lots of people go, I hear. Heard tell it’s the biggest place they got for baseball, somethin’ ‘bout the most folks ever showed up back in 2011. Them Phillies was playin’ against some Cardinals, I think. But it ain’t just for baseball. They have them singin’ shows there too. And Jimmy Buffett, he went and sang there a few times.
Seems like he liked that place, ’cause he kept goin’ back. They say he was there in 2005, then again in 2008, and even later. Folks kept track of when he was there. They got these things called “setlists,” which is just a list of what songs he sang. They got dates and everything. Like, one time he was there on June 14th, another time on August 27th. They got all this stuff on the internet now, ya know. You can find anything on that thing, I swear.
I heard tell if you go to that park, you gotta be careful where you sit if you don’t wanna get all sunburnt. If you sit on the side with home plate, you’re good. But if you go over to that right field, lordy, you gonna get cooked like a goose. So, if you like shade, you gotta know where to go. Same with them concerts, I reckon. Some folks like to be right up front, others like to be in the back. To each their own, I always say.
They got pictures and videos of Jimmy Buffett at Citizens Bank Park too. Folks like to take pictures, ya know. Capture the moment, they say. And they share ’em all over the internet. You can see him singin’, playin’ his guitar. Heard he had other folks singin’ with him sometimes too. A fella named Sonny Landreth, they say he was a “special guest” one time. Don’t know what that means, but sounds fancy.

But that Citizens Bank Park in Philly, that seems like a special place for him and his fans. They sure do talk about it a lot.
Anyways, that’s all I know ‘bout Jimmy Buffett and Citizens Bank Park. Just stuff I picked up here and there. Never seen him myself, never been to that park. But folks sure do like him and that place. Must be somethin’ special, I reckon.
