Alright, let’s yak about them Final Fantasy pins, you know, the shiny little things folks stick on their jackets and bags. I seen ’em around, all sorts of colors and pictures. Don’t rightly know what half of ’em mean, but they sure are somethin’ to look at.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I can tell ya, these pins, they got pictures of all sorts of things. Swords and magic and funny-lookin’ creatures. Reminds me of them stories my grandson used to tell me, all about heroes and savin’ the world. He was always goin’ on and on about some fella named “Sora” and his key thingy, fightin’ the darkness or somethin’. Kids these days, always dreamin’ up the wildest things!
I heard tell some folks collect these pins. Can you believe it? Spendin’ hard-earned money on little bits of metal. But I reckon, to each their own. They say some of them pins are real special, like, ain’t many of ’em around. Them’s the ones they call “custom” or “unique,” I think. Folks get all worked up tryin’ to find them, payin’ a pretty penny too, from what I hear.
And then there’s them pins with the numbers on ’em, like “Final Fantasy VII.” I guess that’s like chapters in a book, or somethin’. My grandson, he had a whole bunch of them pins with that “VII” on it. Said it was the best one, somethin’ about a big ol’ meteor and a fella with spiky hair. He had this one pin, looked like a little bird, a “Chocobo” he called it. Cute little fella, even if it didn’t look like no bird I ever seen.
- Some pins got swords.
- Some got magic.
- Some got funny-lookin’ creatures.
- And some just got numbers.
They make these pins outta somethin’ called “enamel,” I think. Makes ’em all shiny and colorful. And they put ’em on all sorts of things, like backpacks and jackets and even them fancy little bags the ladies carry. I seen some that are big, like the size of a dollar coin, and some that are small, like a button on your shirt. Guess it depends on what you like.
You can find these pins all over the place, they tell me. Even on that “internet” thing my grandson’s always talkin’ about. He showed me once, all sorts of pictures and prices. Said you can even buy ’em from other folks, like a big ol’ swap meet, but on the computer. They call it “eBay” or somethin’. Said you can even get free shippin’ sometimes. Land sakes, what will they think of next?
And it ain’t just the old games, either. They makin’ pins for the new ones too. My grandson was tellin’ me about some game, “Final Fantasy XIV” it was called, and how they got pins for all the different jobs you can do in the game. Like, you could be a warrior or a magician or somethin’. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but he seemed to enjoy it.
Then there’s the real big ones, like, bigger than your thumb. They call ’em “art pins” or somethin’. My grandson showed me one that looked like a big monster, all fiery and mean-lookin’. Said it was a “Summon” from one of the games. I tell ya, them game designers, they got some imaginations!
So, there you have it, my two cents on them Final Fantasy pins. They’re shiny, they’re colorful, and folks seem to like ’em. Me? I’ll stick to my knittin’, but if you like ’em, more power to ya. Just don’t go spendin’ all your money on ’em, ya hear? There’s more important things in life than little bits of metal, no matter how pretty they are.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about these here pins. They’re just pins, nothin’ more, nothin’ less. But folks like ‘em, so I reckon there must be somethin’ to ‘em. Just remember what I said, don’t go crazy with ’em!
