Alright, let’s talk about this “resolve themed picture” thing in FF7. I ain’t no gamer, mind you, but my grandson, he’s always yappin’ about it. So, I picked up a thing or two, ya know? This “resolve” picture, it’s all about showin’ some grit, some determination. Like when you gotta chase a chicken that’s runnin’ loose, you gotta be resolved!
First off, you gotta find this place called Rugged Shoals. Sounds fancy, huh? It ain’t. Just some rocks and water, I reckon. Barret, that big fella with the gun arm, he’ll lead ya there. He’s kinda like the rooster in the henhouse, always tellin’ everyone what to do. But he means well, I guess.
Now, you gotta get Red XIII in the picture. That’s the dog-lookin’ fella, right? He’s gotta be lookin’ all tough, like he’s ready to fight a pack of wolves or somethin’. They say he needs to raise his fist. Sounds like he’s about to punch somethin’, which is good, I guess. Shows he ain’t no scaredy-cat.
Find the Right Spot
Gotta find the right spot, too. There’s this little hill, they say, with some grass. And a camera sign. Imagine that! A sign tellin’ ya where to take a picture. Like them city folks need everything spelled out for ’em. Anyway, you point your camera there, and wait for Red to get in position. He’s gotta look just right, ya know? Not all slouchy and lazy-like.
Then, you gotta zoom in. They say the numbers gotta turn green. Green means good, I always say. Like a good patch of grass for the cows. 100 percent zoom, they say. That means you gotta get real close, see all the details. Like lookin’ at a fly on the wall, but hopefully Red looks better than a fly.

- Find the small hill with the camera sign
- Zoom in until the numbers turn green at 100%
- Take the picture
Once he’s all posed up, snap that picture! And then you’re done. You got your “resolve” picture. My grandson, he says you get some rewards for this. Experience points and somethin’ called a Crescent Moon Charm. Sounds like somethin’ you’d hang on a necklace, I guess. And Barret, that big fella, he’ll like you more. Maybe he’ll share some of his grits with ya then.
Other Resolve Moments
Now, this game, it’s got other “resolve” moments too, from what I hear. That Aerith girl, she’s got her own way of showin’ resolve. You gotta do all her quests, they say. And ignore that Tifa girl’s quests. Sounds like some drama, if you ask me. Women always fightin’ over somethin’, ain’t they? Just like the hens in my coop. But I guess in this game it means Aerith is tough and determined.
So, there ya have it. That’s what I know about this “resolve themed picture” in FF7. It’s all about showin’ some backbone, some grit. Like a farmer plantin’ seeds even when the weather ain’t lookin’ good. You gotta keep goin’, keep tryin’, no matter what. That’s what resolve is all about, I reckon.
And that’s all there is to it. Not as complicated as milkin’ a cow, but close enough, I guess. At least ain’t nobody gettin’ kicked in the process…unless Red kicks somethin’ in that picture, I suppose.
