Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about some fellas in the NBA, the basketball league, you know? The ones who run real fast, like a chicken with its head cut off. We ain’t gonna use no fancy words, just plain talk.
So, they got this thing, see, called “fastest player.” That means who runs the quickest up and down that court. It’s important, I guess, if you wanna win them games. If you ain’t fast, you ain’t gonna get that ball, and you ain’t gonna score no points, that’s what my old man always says.
Now, I heard some folks talking ’bout this fella, Russell Westbrook. They say he’s quick. He’s been around a while, this fella. Thirty-five years old, or somethin’ like that. Still runnin’ like a young’un, though. He’s got that speed, you know, like a jackrabbit.
- He’s quick on his feet.
- He can get past them other players real fast.
- He plays hard, that’s for sure.
But then there’s this other young whippersnapper, De’Aaron Fox. Folks sayin’ HE’S the fastest now, in 2023, or whenever it was. I ain’t keepin’ track of the years too close no more. But they say this Fox fella, he’s got somethin’ special. Like greased lightnin’ they say.
Now, how they figure out who’s fastest? I don’t rightly know. They got charts and numbers and all that stuff. They measure how fast they run and how far. Sounds like a lot of hogwash to me, but I guess it matters to some folks.
They got all sorts of players in this league, you know. Big ones, small ones, fast ones, slow ones. I heard tell of this fella, Oliver Miller, who was big as a barn. Heaviest fella ever played, they say. Near 400 pounds! Can you imagine that? He weren’t too fast, I bet. Then there was this itty-bitty fella, Muggsy Bogues. Shortest ever, they say. Five foot three! Now, he must’ve been quick, to make up for bein’ so small. Like a little mouse dartin’ around.
So, who’s the fastest? Well, it depends on who you ask, I reckon. Some folks like that Westbrook fella, ‘cause he’s been doin’ it for a long time. Others say it’s this Fox fella, ‘cause he’s young and got that new kinda speed. Me? I just like watchin’ ’em run. It’s excitin’, like watchin’ a good horse race.
It ain’t just about bein’ fast, though. You gotta be smart too. You gotta know where to go and when to go. You gotta be able to handle that ball and shoot it in the hoop. That’s what makes a good player, not just runnin’ fast. But runnin’ sure does help! It’s like chasin’ a runaway pig, you gotta be quick!
But if we’re just talkin’ speed, pure speed, seems like that De’Aaron Fox fella is the one they’re all talkin’ about now. Fastest in the NBA, they say. But don’t count out that Westbrook fella neither. He’s been doin’ it a long time and he’s still got some pep in his step. And that’s all there is to it. Fast fellas runnin’ around, tryin’ to win a game.
In short, De’Aaron Fox is considered by many to be the fastest NBA player in recent times, known for his exceptional speed and agility on the court, while Russell Westbrook remains a respected veteran known for his explosive athleticism and speed throughout his career.
