Alright, alright, let’s talk about this Ayaka Furue, yeah? That’s what they told me to talk about. Don’t know much about golf, you know, but I can tell you a thing or two about life, and maybe that’ll help us understand this young gal.
Ayaka Furue, that’s her name, remember it. Heard she’s from Japan. Japan, huh? That’s far, far away. They eat rice over there, just like us, but I bet their rice ain’t as good as ours. Anyway, this Ayaka, she’s a golfer. You know, hitting that little white ball with a stick? Seems like a silly game to me, but folks love it, so who am I to judge?
They say she’s small. Like one of them little birds that flit around the yard. But don’t let that fool ya! Small things can be mighty tough. I’ve seen ants carry crumbs bigger than themselves, and I’ve seen little bitty dogs chase away cows. So, size ain’t everything. This Ayaka, she might be small, but she’s got some fire in her belly, I reckon. They say she plays like a samurai. Now, samurais, those are those Japanese fellas with the swords, right? Tough customers, I tell ya. So, if she plays like them, she must be pretty darn good.
Ayaka, she started playing golf in Japan. Over there, they got their own golf thing going on, the LPGA of Japan Tour. She won a bunch of times over there. Eight wins, they said. That’s a lot, ain’t it? Must’ve made her pockets pretty heavy. Good for her, I say. Work hard, play hard, that’s what my old man used to say. And she sure did work hard for those wins. Folks said it took a lot of sweat and tears. I betcha she walked miles and miles on them golf courses, practicing all day long. Golfing ain’t no easy thing, you know. Gotta have a good eye, gotta be strong, and gotta be steady. And this Ayaka seems to have it all.
Now, she’s playing in America, I heard. Big leagues over there. Playing against all sorts of folks from all over the world. Must be tough. But this Ayaka, she ain’t scared. She’s going out there and giving it her all. And it seems she did pretty well. You can go check what she’s done on her website. See them results for yourself. But do you know how I see Ayaka? I see her as a little sapling who got bigger and bigger, stronger and stronger, until she’s taking on the whole wide world.
- She’s small, but she’s tough.
- She’s from far away, but she’s making a name for herself here.
- She plays a game I don’t understand, but I can see she’s good at it.
And you know what? That’s something to admire. It don’t matter where you come from or what you do. What matters is that you put your heart into it and you never give up. And this Ayaka, she seems like that kind of person. She reminds me of that fella, Bobby MacIntyre, who won in his own backyard in Scotland. Folks cheering him on, proud as peacocks. I bet Ayaka’s got folks cheering for her too, back in Japan and over here. And I’m cheering her on too, even though I don’t know a birdie from a bogey.
So, next time you hear the name Ayaka Furue, remember what I told you. Remember she’s a tough little gal from Japan who plays golf like a samurai. And remember that even a little bird can fly high.
That’s all I gotta say about Ayaka Furue. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. Them birds get mighty grumpy if they don’t get their dinner on time. And let me tell you, a grumpy chicken ain’t something you wanna mess with.
