Well, let me tell ya, this Roger Goodell fella, he sure knows how to live! Now, I ain’t no fancy city person, but I hear tell he’s the big boss over at the NFL, that football league what the whole country loves to watch on Sunday afternoons. They say this man, Roger Goodell, he’s building himself a summer home up in a place called Prouts Neck. Now, that don’t mean much to me, but I reckon it’s a nice spot with good views and lots of space to stretch out. They say it’s gonna be real fancy, what with all the money he’s got. More money than I can even count, that’s for sure.
Now, you’d think with all that money, Roger might just live anywhere, but nope, he’s settled down in a big ol’ house in the Bronxville area of New York. I looked it up, and they say his house there’s worth more than $4 million! That’s a whole heap of money for a house. But he didn’t just go and buy it like you or me might buy a house at the local auction—nah, he dropped $4.8 million on it back in 2005. Seems like a lot for a house, but with all the money he makes, I guess it’s not too bad.
Roger’s not living all alone in that big ol’ mansion neither. He’s got his wife, Jane, and their twin daughters living with him in that fancy place. I reckon it’s nice for them to have plenty of room to run around. I’ve heard tell that Roger makes a pretty good salary, too. Folks say he pulls in about $64 million a year! Now, I don’t know about you, but that’s more money than I could ever imagine seeing in a whole lifetime. And on top of all that, they say Roger’s got himself a fortune worth about $200 million. That’s more zeros than I can even think of!
So, while he’s working hard in the NFL, he’s also making sure to have himself a place to relax when the season’s done. A summer home in Prouts Neck sounds like just the thing for someone who’s got that kind of money. I can’t imagine all the things he could do with a place like that. Maybe he’ll spend his days fishing, or just sitting out on the porch watching the sun set. Must be nice to have that kind of life.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I ain’t one to envy folks for having money. I’ve lived a simple life all my days, and I’m happy with what I got. But when you hear about someone like Roger Goodell, with his big house, his summer home, and all that money, it makes you think about how the world works. I reckon he’s earned it, what with all the work he’s done with the NFL and all. But it sure is a far cry from how most of us live, that’s for sure.
All in all, I guess it’s nice to know that someone out there’s doing well, even if they’re living a life far removed from my simple country ways. Roger Goodell sure seems to have it made. I hope he enjoys his summer home when it’s all done. Must be a real treat to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some quiet time in a nice, peaceful spot.
