Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… what’s it called? Lores Beyond the Ranges, yeah, that’s it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ them city folks would jabber about. But don’t you worry none, I’ll break it down for ya, plain and simple, like how we talk back home.
So, first things first, you gotta do somethin’ for this Changli fella. Says you gotta finish his “Companion Story Quest.” Sounds like a whole lotta fuss if you ask me. They call it “Immortal Blaze.” Probably some fiery somethin’ or other, you know, dragons and such. Them young folks always like that flashy stuff. You gotta get through that first, ain’t no shortcut, no sirree.
Now, once you’re done with that fire business, then you can start lookin’ for these Lores. It ain’t like findin’ eggs in the henhouse, mind you. These Lores, they’re hidden all over the place, scattered like seeds in the wind. You gotta go lookin’ in every nook and cranny, under every rock and behind every tree, just like how we used to hunt for mushrooms after the rain. Takes patience, it does. And good eyesight, too. Lord knows my eyes ain’t what they used to be. Used to spot a hawk from a mile away, I did. Now I can barely see the rooster in front of me without my specs.
Anyways, back to these Lores. They tell stories, see? Stories about the old days, about heroes and villains, about magic and monsters. Just like the stories my grandma used to tell me by the fireplace, ‘cept these are written down… or somethin’ like that. Them city folks got their fancy ways of doin’ things.
Now, I ain’t sure what kind of stories these Lores tell, but I bet they’re somethin’ special. Maybe they tell you how to make a better stew, or how to get rid of them pesky weeds in the garden. Or maybe they tell you about the time old man Johnson tried to ride a pig and ended up in the mud. Now that was a story, I tell ya. We laughed about that for weeks.
- First, finish Changli’s “Immortal Blaze” thingamajig. Don’t ask me what it is, just do it.
- Then, start lookin’ everywhere. Like I said, no shortcuts, you gotta work for it.
- Read the stories, or whatever they are. Maybe you’ll learn somethin’. Maybe you won’t. Life’s like that, ain’t it?
And that’s about all I know about these Lores Beyond the Ranges. It ain’t rocket science, see? Just gotta follow the steps, like bakin’ a cake. Flour, sugar, eggs… you know the drill. Just remember to be patient, and don’t get discouraged if you can’t find them right away. Good things come to those who wait, that’s what my mama always said. And she was a wise woman, she was.
Now, you might be askin’, “Why should I care about these Lores?” Well, I don’t rightly know. Maybe they’ll give you some shiny trinkets, or maybe they’ll just make you feel good inside. Maybe it’s just something to keep you busy, like knittin’ a sweater or plantin’ turnips. We all need somethin’ to do, don’t we? Keeps us from goin’ stir-crazy. Lord knows I’d go crazy if I didn’t have my garden and my chickens. They keep me grounded, they do. Keeps me connected to the earth.
So go on, get out there and find them Lores. Explore the world, talk to folks, and don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. That’s the best way to learn, I always say. And who knows, maybe you’ll even have a good story to tell when you’re done. Just like old man Johnson and his pig. Now that’s a story worth rememberin’. And it didn’t need no fancy Lores to tell it.
And one more thing, don’t go gettin’ yourself lost out there. Stick to the path, unless you know what you’re doin’. And if you see a bear, don’t try to pet it. Just run the other way. Common sense, really, but you’d be surprised how many folks don’t have it these days. City folks, mostly.
