Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at predicting football scores, and today I decided to tackle the Celtic vs. Ross County match. Here’s how it all went down, step-by-step.

Getting Started
First, I opened up a few of my usual websites for checking stats – you know, the ones that show recent form, head-to-head records, and all that stuff. I like to get a general feel for how the teams have been performing recently before I dive deeper.
Digging into the Data
Next, I started making some notes. I jotted down Celtic’s recent wins and how many goals they’ve been scoring. Then I did the same for Ross County, noting their wins, losses, and draws, and their goals scored and conceded. It was pretty clear that Celtic have been on a roll, scoring a bunch of goals, while Ross County have been struggling a bit.
Checking Head-to-Head
I always check the past matches, I look at the head-to-head record between the two teams. Checked out the last five or six games they played against each other. This can sometimes give you a clue, even if the teams’ current form is different.
Considering Other Factors
Thought about anything else that might affect the game? Like, are any key players injured or suspended? Is one team playing at home, and does that usually make a difference for them? Stuff like that. Sometimes, you just have to trust your gut feeling, too.
Making the Prediction
After I gathered all of the data, I simply combined everything together. All things considered, I predicted that Celtic would win, and probably by a couple of goals. I ended up going with a 3-1 victory for Celtic.

Reflecting on the Process
After making my prediction, I always like to see how I do after the match is over. If I’m way off, I try to figure out what I missed. Did I overlook something important? Did I put too much weight on one factor and not enough on another? It’s all a learning process, really.
