Alright, so today I’m gonna walk you through my little experiment: the “drew brees bald” thing. It sounds kinda weird, I know, but bear with me.

It all started, like most of my harebrained ideas, with a late-night rabbit hole on the internet. I was watching some old NFL highlights, Drew Brees popped up, and I thought, “Man, I wonder what he’d look like bald?” Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to, well, make it happen. Virtually, of course.
- First things first: I needed a good picture of Drew Brees. High-res, facing forward, the whole shebang. Google Images to the rescue! Found a decent one from a Saints game.
- Next up: Firing up the old Photoshop. Now, I’m no graphic design guru, but I can hold my own. I opened the picture and started messing around with the lasso tool.
- The actual “shaving”: This was the tricky part. I carefully selected his hairline and started deleting chunks of hair. It looked janky at first, like a five-year-old took a pair of scissors to his head.
- Blending is key: That’s when the clone stamp tool came in handy. I sampled skin tones from his forehead and blended them into the newly “bald” areas. It took a while, lots of zooming in and out, but I slowly started to get a more natural look.
- Fine-tuning: After the initial shave, I added some subtle shadows and highlights to simulate the shape of his head. A little burn tool here, a little dodge tool there. You get the idea.
Honestly, the whole process took me a couple of hours. It wasn’t perfect, by any means. There were definitely some wonky spots, but overall, I was pretty happy with the result.
I mean, did it look exactly like Drew Brees with a shaved head? Nah. But it was close enough to satisfy my curiosity. It was more of a “what if” scenario brought to life (sort of).
Anyway, that’s the story of how I virtually shaved Drew Brees’ head. A silly little project, but hey, it kept me entertained for an evening.
