Alright, let’s talk about this DK Metcalf fella, whether you should start him this week in your, uh, fantasy game. You know, the one where you pick players and hope they do good? Yeah, that one.
Is this DK fella gonna play or what? Well, from what I hear, he had some trouble with his knee, you know, like us old folks get sometimes. But they say he’s back now, been practicin’ and all. So that’s good, right? Means he’s probably gonna play. They said somethin’ about him bein’ back for the game against them 49ers, whoever they are. Sounds like a bunch of fancy city folk to me.
Now, this fantasy thing, it’s all about points, ain’t it? You want the players who get the most of them. And folks who know about this stuff, they try to guess how many points DK will get. They look at all sorts of things, I guess. Whether he’s hurt, who he’s playin’ against… It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me.
I heard tell DK had some trouble with his shoulder too. One day he’s practicin’, the next he ain’t. Makes it hard to know what to expect, you know? It’s like my old rooster, sometimes he crows, sometimes he just sits there peckin’ at the ground. You never quite know what you’re gonna get.
- So, should you start him? That’s the big question, ain’t it?
- Well, if he’s playin’, that’s a good sign. Means he’s probably healthy enough.
- But, you know, even healthy players can have bad days. Just like my tomatoes, some years they grow big and juicy, other years they’re small and sad.
They got these experts, you know, folks who study this stuff all day long. And they give advice, tell you who to start and who to sit. They say things like “start/sit advice” and “trade insight.” Sounds mighty fancy to me. But sometimes even them experts don’t know nothin’. Just like the weather man, always predictin’ rain when the sun’s shinin’ bright.
I seen some folks callin’ their fantasy teams funny names, like “Radioactive DK” and “TD Metcalf.” Kids these days, always comin’ up with somethin’ new. Reminds me of my grandson, always playin’ them video games with all the funny names.
Anyway, from what I gather, DK ain’t on the hurt list this week. That’s good news for you fantasy folks. He’s gonna play against them Cardinals, I think. And I heard tell he did real good in some playoff game once, caught the ball a bunch and ran real fast. So, he can be good when he wants to be.
So, here’s my advice, for what it’s worth. If he’s playin’, and he ain’t hurt too bad, then maybe you should start him. But if you got a bad feelin’, or if you got another player who seems like a sure thing, then maybe go with that other fella. It’s all a gamble, you know? Like plantin’ seeds, sometimes they grow, sometimes they don’t.
And don’t go listenin’ too much to them experts. They just guessin’ like the rest of us. Use your own common sense. If a player seems good, and he’s healthy, then give him a shot. And if he does bad, well, that’s just how it goes sometimes. Don’t get too worked up about it. It’s just a game, after all.
And remember, them fellas over at DraftKings, they want you to play their game and spend your money. So, be careful and don’t go bettin’ the farm on this DK fella, alright?
