Alright, so you wanna know about this Pat McAfee show, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it’s a whole bunch of fellas talkin’ and carryin’ on. Don’t rightly know all their names, but I see ’em on that there tee-vee sometimes.
First off, there’s Pat McAfee himself. He’s the main fella, the one who yaps the most. Big guy, loud, kinda like my ol’ rooster back on the farm, always crowin’ about somethin’. He used to play that football, you know, the one with the helmets and all. Now he just talks about it, and a whole lot of other stuff too.
Then there’s this other bunch, they call ’em the cast, I guess. Like a play, but not really. They just sit around and argue with Pat, or laugh at his jokes, or sometimes just stare at him like he’s lost his marbles. One fella, they call him “Digs.” Folks always askin’ who he is. Honestly, I ain’t got a clue. He’s just… there. Kinda like that old mule we had, always standin’ in the corner of the pasture, just watchin’.
There’s another one, Matt Brown, or somethin’. They call him “Bruce Brahn” on the show, I hear. Silly names, these young folks come up with. He was on the tee-vee talkin’ ’bout some video game, somethin’ about college football. Guess he knows a thing or two about that. Seems like a nice enough fella, though I can’t say I understand half of what he’s talkin’ about.
They got this show on all sorts of places now. Used to be just on that YouTube, you know, the thing where you watch all them funny cat videos. Now it’s on ESPN, and some other thing called ESPN+. And even on that TikTok, where all them youngsters dance around. Lordy, it’s hard to keep up with all this newfangled technology.
The show is filmed in Indianapolis, I heard tell. Don’t know why they picked that place, but I reckon it’s as good as any. They sit around a table, talkin’ ’bout sports, and politics, and who knows what else. Sometimes they have guests on, famous folks, athletes and such. It’s a real hodgepodge, I tell ya.
They call the folks who watch the show the “McAfee Mafia.” Sounds kinda scary, but I don’t think they’re actually criminals or nothin’. Just fans, I guess. They seem to like the show a lot, always yellin’ and cheerin’ in the background. Reminds me of a barn raisin’, all that noise and commotion.
- Pat McAfee: The main host, the loud one, the one who does most of the talkin’.
- Digs: A mysterious fella, nobody really knows who he is or what he does, but he’s always there.
- Matt Brown (Bruce Brahn): Knows about college football, talks about video games sometimes.
They do the show live, from noon to three, somethin’ like that. Eastern time, they say. I don’t rightly know what that means, but it’s probably important to some folks. They talk and talk and talk, and sometimes they yell, and sometimes they laugh. It’s like a big ol’ family gathering, except you don’t have to bring a casserole.
And that’s about all I know about this here Pat McAfee show. It’s a bunch of fellas talkin’, and people seem to like it. I don’t always understand what they’re sayin’, but sometimes it’s kinda funny, and sometimes it’s kinda interesting. It’s somethin’ to watch, I guess, when you’re tired of lookin’ at the corn grow.
The Pat McAfee Show, it’s a thing, alright? A big, loud, ramblin’ thing. But hey, ain’t that what life’s all about? Just a bunch of folks carryin’ on, tryin’ to make sense of it all.
