Alright, let’s gab a bit about this young fella, Ryan Garcia, and all them doodads he’s got inked on his skin. Folks are all a-flutter about ‘em, especially that one on his neck. Now, I ain’t no tattoo expert, mind you, but I can see with my own two eyes that it’s somethin’ fancy. They say it’s a laurel crown.
What’s a laurel crown, you ask? Well, it ain’t somethin’ you wear on your head like a real queen, no sir. It’s more like a picture of leaves all twisted ‘round in a circle. They tell me it means victory, like when you win a race or somethin’. Also pride, success, beauty, and triumph, all them big words. Guess that boy thinks he’s a real winner, huh? And I reckon he is, with all that boxin’ he does.
Now, I hear tell gettin’ a tattoo on your neck ain’t no walk in the park. It hurts somethin’ fierce, they say. That skin there is thin, you know, like a baby’s bottom. More nerves and such. But, I guess if you want somethin’ bad enough, you grit your teeth and get through it. This Ryan fella, he seems tough enough, so I don’t reckon he batted an eye.
He got that neck tattoo done not too long ago, along with a bunch of others. Seems like he can’t get enough of them ink things. He’s got a lion with a crown on his chest, too. That one’s supposed to mean he’s the king of the jungle, or somethin’ like that. Courage, bravery, strength, all them things a fella needs to be a fighter. He also got a dove, and a cross on his arm. The dove, that’s a bird, you know, means peace and new beginnings. And the cross, well, that’s for Jesus, bless his heart.
- Lion with Crown: King of the jungle, courage, strength.
- Cross: Faith and respect for Christianity.
- Dove: Peace, harmony, new beginnings.
- Laurel Crown: Victory, pride, success.
This boy’s got his whole body tellin’ a story, it seems. And he’s only twenty-four years old! Imagine what he’ll look like when he’s my age. Probably covered head to toe in them things. But hey, to each their own, I always say. If he likes it, then that’s all that matters. It ain’t hurtin’ nobody.
People get tattoos for all sorts of reasons, you know. Some folks want to remember somethin’ or someone. Others just want to look pretty, or tough, or whatever. This Ryan, I think he wants to show the world who he is and what he’s about. He’s a fighter, a winner, and he’s proud of it. And he ain’t afraid to show it, that’s for sure.
He took everyone on a tour of all his tattoos before one of his fights. Showed ‘em off like a peacock. Guess he wants everyone to know what they mean. Or maybe he just likes the attention. Young folks these days, they do love their attention. But I can’t fault him for it. He’s young, he’s successful, and he’s makin’ a name for himself. Let him have his fun, I say.
So, that’s the lowdown on Ryan Garcia’s neck tattoo, and a few of his other ones, too. It’s a laurel crown, it means victory, and it probably hurt like the dickens to get. But he’s a tough fella, and he wears it proud. And that’s all there is to it, as far as I can tell.
He got that dove tattoo on February 25, 2021, inked by some fella named Dr. Woo. Same with the laurel crown, got it done the same day. And that lion tattoo on his chest, got that one done a few weeks before that by the same fella. Seems like he found a tattoo artist he likes and he’s stickin’ with him. Can’t blame him for that, good help is hard to find these days.
So there you have it. A whole lotta talk about some pictures on a young man’s skin. Makes you think, don’t it? What folks will do to express themselves these days. But hey, like I said, to each their own. As long as they ain’t hurtin’ nobody, I ain’t got no complaints.
