They say Danny came on, oh, ’round the start of 2021, I reckon. Used to carry for another fella, some Singh fella, before that. These caddies, they hop around like rabbits, don’t they? But Corey Conners and his caddie, they seem to be stickin’ together now. Good for them, I say.
That Danny Sahl, he’s gotta be strong, luggin’ that big ol’ bag around. And smart, too, I guess. They gotta know which club to use, where the wind’s blowin’, all that stuff. Me, I just hit the ball and hope for the best!
What’s a Caddie Do Anyway?
- Carry the bag, that’s for sure.
- Give advice, I reckon.
- Keep the golfer calm, maybe.
- Make sure he don’t get too big for his britches!
They say Corey Conners’ caddie gets paid good money. Some of ’em make more than I ever did pickin’ beans! They say it is between $1500 and $3000 per week. I wouldn’t know about that, though. Never been one for numbers, myself. Just know it’s more than a little.
This Corey Conners, he’s been playin’ in them big tournaments. Even played in the Olympics. Went to Paris for it, they say. Fancy, huh?
Olympics and Trust for Corey Conners
Heard it was a real hoot, that Paris place. Lots of folks watchin’. Corey Conners and his caddie, they were right in the thick of it. That’s gotta be excitin’, playin’ in front of all them people.
They say a golfer’s gotta trust his caddie. Like trustin’ your old mule to plow the field straight. Gotta know he’s gonna do right by ya. Looks like Corey Conners trusts that Danny fella. They been together for a while now. Corey Conners, he’s consistent, always does a good job on the golf. It is not all about Corey, his caddie has a big part to do.
I remember one time, back when I was a girl, we had this old mule, Bessie. Mean as a snake, she was. But my Pa, he knew how to handle her. Spoke to her real gentle-like. Maybe that’s what Danny Sahl does for Corey Conners. Keeps him calm, keeps him focused.
Caddie’s Job Ain’t Easy
It ain’t easy, bein’ a caddie. Long days, hot sun beatin’ down on ya. Gotta be patient, gotta be strong. And gotta know a thing or two about that golf game.
That Danny Sahl, he’s probably seen a lot of golf courses. Traveled all over the world, I bet. Me, I ain’t never been further than the county fair. But that’s alright. I’m happy right here.
It’s a partnership, that’s what it is. Like me and my old hens. I take care of them, they give me eggs. Corey Conners and his caddie, they work together. They are a team. They help each other out.
Heard some caddies, they retire. Get too old for all that walkin’, I suppose. Just like me, gettin’ too old for tendin’ the garden all day. But that Danny Sahl, he seems young enough. Probably got a few more years left in him. Good for him. And good for Corey Conners. They make a good pair, those two.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about that Corey Conners and his caddie. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it. And it seems like that Danny Sahl fella, he’s doin’ a pretty good job of it. He is for sure making some money! Hope Corey Conners keeps winnin’, though. Makes it all worthwhile, I imagine.
