Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Corban women’s basketball, you know, the kind them girls play. It ain’t like back in my day, no sir. We didn’t have all these fancy schedules and ESPN folks watchin’ us. But these young’uns, they got it all figured out, seems like.
First off, they got this schedule, a real long one too. Heard tell it’s the 2024-25 one now, or maybe it’s the 2023-24 one, can’t rightly remember. But it’s full, packed tighter than a jar of pickles, I tell ya. Games all over the place, mornin’, noon, and night sometimes, I reckon. You can find it on that ESPN thing, whatever that is. They say it’s got all the game times and who they’re playin’ against. Sounds complicated to me.
And speakin’ of playin’, these Corban Warriors, that’s what they call ’em, they’re in somethin’ called the NCAAW. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds like a bunch of letters jumbled together. But it’s college basketball, I guess. They run up and down the court, dribblin’ that ball and throwin’ it in the hoop. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose, just like life, ain’t it?
Now, there’s this fella, Bill Pilgeram, he’s the coach, the head honcho. He’s the one tellin’ them girls what to do, how to play. He put together this tough schedule, they say, lots of games on the road. Road trips, huh? Reminds me of when we used to take the wagon into town, only these girls got buses and fancy cars, I betcha.
- They got scores, you know, how many points they get.
- They got stats, whatever those are, numbers and such.
- They got standings, shows you who’s winnin’ and who’s losin’.
- And they got news, all about what them girls are doin’.
You can find all that on ESPN too, they say. It’s like a big ol’ newspaper, but on the TV or that ‘puter thing. Always somethin’ new goin’ on with them Warriors.
Corban University, that’s where they play. It’s in Salem, Oregon. Pretty place, I hear. They got more than just basketball, though. They got all sorts of sports, 16 of ’em, they say. Baseball, soccer, track and field, even volleyball. And they got this mascot, Cadmar, a warrior in armor. Sounds kinda scary, but I bet he’s just a fella in a suit.
These girls, they play in somethin’ called the Cascade Collegiate Conference, or CCC. More letters, I know. It’s part of somethin’ bigger, the NAIA. Don’t even get me started on that one. But it’s all about competition, see? Tryin’ to be the best, winnin’ them games. And them girls, they sure do try hard.
You can watch ’em play, if you want. ESPN got highlights, they call ’em, little bits and pieces of the game. So you can see ’em runnin’ and jumpin’ and throwin’ that ball. And if you want to know when they’re playin’, just look at that schedule, the one I told ya about. It’s got all the games and times, so you don’t miss a thing.
So, that’s about all I know about this Corban women’s basketball. It’s a whole different world from what I’m used to, but those girls seem to have it figured out. They play hard, they compete, and they got folks watchin’ them all over the place, it seems. Times sure have changed, haven’t they?
In short, Corban women’s basketball is a college team playing in the NCAAW. They have a busy schedule, a coach named Bill Pilgeram, and you can find their scores, stats, and news on ESPN. They compete in the CCC and are part of the NAIA. Their mascot is Cadmar, and they play at Corban University in Salem, Oregon. You can watch game highlights on ESPN.
