Alright, so today I tried to find out what’s the deal with Conor McGregor’s back tattoo. You know, the one that goes down his spine? Yeah, that one. It’s called “Thorny Helix,” apparently.
First, I hit up Google, just to get a basic idea. Found some articles talking about it, saying it’s a helix of thorns that starts from his neck and goes all the way down. They mentioned it’s right below some cross tattoo he’s got. Some folks online were saying it has religious meanings, like, it’s connected to Jesus and what he did for people. Others were just like, “It’s a cool-looking tattoo, man!”
Then, I dug a bit deeper. Checked out some forums where people were discussing McGregor’s tattoos. A lot of them were talking about how he’s got a bunch of tattoos, not just this back one. He is also known for his wide range of tattoos. Seems like he’s really into them. Some even mentioned his other tattoos, but I was only interested in the back piece, so I didn’t spend too much time on that.
After that, I watched a few videos of McGregor, you know, just to see the tattoo in action, during his fights and stuff. I found one he did for some movie called Roadhouse. In that video, his Thorny Helix tattoo got covered up, I guess because it didn’t fit his character in that movie. But it was cool to see the tattoo from different angles. It really does look kind of intense, winding down his back like that.
I also stumbled upon some articles mentioning that McGregor is covering up his real tattoos and using fake ones for this Roadhouse movie. Apparently, he’s playing an “unhinged hitman,” which sounds pretty wild. Jake Gyllenhaal is also in it, playing a former UFC fighter. So, McGregor’s kind of playing himself, but also not, you know?
Honestly, after all this, I’m still not 100% sure what the tattoo means to McGregor himself. I mean, it could be religious, or maybe it’s just something he thought looked cool. Maybe it’s both. But it was definitely interesting to look into it and see what people are saying about it.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of Conor McGregor’s back tattoo. It was a fun little research project. Maybe next time, I’ll look into his other tattoos, or maybe I’ll switch it up and check out some other celebrity’s ink. Who knows?
