Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post, channeling my inner “regular dude who loves to share” persona, about the 1995 Cincinnati Reds roster:
Alright, so I got into this whole rabbit hole today about the 1995 Cincinnati Reds. Man, that was a team! I was just a kid back then, but I remember being super hyped about them.
First, I gotta say, I totally forgot how good some of those guys were. So I started with the basics. Just pulled up, you know, tried to find a list of all the players. It was harder than I thought! Like, there’s bits and pieces everywhere, but no one definitive place.
So, this is what I did. I started, and made a huge list myself.
The Starting Lineup (Mostly):
- Catcher: I think I remember a few names…
- First Base: Definitely remember Hal Morris. Dude could hit!
- Second Base: Bret Boone! Another solid player.
- Shortstop: Barry Larkin, of course. Hall of Famer! Total legend.
- Third Base: This one I had to dig for.
- Outfield: I know Ron Gant was out there, he had some serious power. And I remember a few other names, too.
Pitching Rotation:
I remember having some great arms back then.
- I pulled up some stuff, tried to make sure.
- Figured out names.
Relief Pitchers:
The bullpen! This is where it gets hazy for me. I recall names like Dibble.
- I tried finding a source, and typed out the names I found.
- Checked it against other stuff, and I think it’s mostly accurate.
Then, I wanted a more clear way to present what I found, so I wrote all the players’ names out, position by position.
Finally, boom! I had my 1995 Cincinnati Reds roster, as complete as I could get it. It was actually pretty fun piecing it all together. Brought back a lot of good memories. Now, I’m gonna go see if I can find some old game highlights on YouTube!
