Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while, and I’m a huge wrestling fan. Naturally, I started thinking about Cody Rhodes’ “American Nightmare” neck tattoo. It’s bold, it’s iconic, and it’s… well, it’s on his neck. I wanted to see how I’d look with it, and I don’t want any regret so I decide to do this thing step-by-step.
Finding the Right Image
First things first, I needed a good, clear picture of the tattoo. I scoured the internet, looking at photos from different angles. I finally found a few high-quality shots that showed all the details, from the eagle’s wings to the skull’s teeth. I saved them on the computer.
Printing and Cutting
I then printed out the best image. I made sure it’s printed at a decent size, but not giant, it needed to fit on my neck, after all. I then grabbed a pair of scissors and carefully cut around the design, getting rid of all the excess paper. I took my time with this, it’s important to be precise, you know, for the best result.
The Placement Test
Now for the real test. I stood in front of the mirror and held the paper cutout against my neck. I tried different positions, slightly higher, a bit lower, tilting it this way and that. I wanted to see how it would look from different perspectives. I asked my wife for her opinion, too. She’s brutally honest, which is helpful in these situations.
Temporary Tattoo Time!
Instead of going straight for the needle, I decided to try a temporary tattoo first. I ordered some temporary tattoo paper online. Once it arrived, I followed the instructions, printed the design onto the special paper, and carefully applied it to my neck. It was a bit tricky, especially with the curves of the design and my neck, but I managed to get it on there pretty smoothly.
Living with the “Nightmare”
I wore the temporary tattoo for a few days. I wanted to see how it felt, how I reacted to it in the mirror, and how other people reacted to it. My wife, friends, and even some strangers had some fun comments, some good, some… well, let’s just say they were surprised.
Decision Time
It has not been easy to make a final decision yet. After this whole experiment, I got a better idea of the scale of the tattoo with my body. It is truly a bold and iconic tattoo, and I believe I will go for the real one.
