Alright, so I saw this headline today about Cody Rhodes supposedly breaking a Vince McMahon rule, and it got me thinking back to a little episode I had recently. It wasn’t quite as dramatic as a WWE storyline, but it did involve some rules and maybe bending them a little.
So, a few weeks back, I was watching this Bash in Berlin press conference. I’m a bit of a wrestling fan, nothing too crazy, but I like to keep up with what’s going on. Anyway, during this presser, Cody Rhodes starts talking about the lawsuit against Vince McMahon. Now, I’m not going to get into all the legal stuff, but it made me wonder how things are run behind the scenes.
Then, Cody got asked if he’d watch this upcoming Netflix documentary about Mr. McMahon. This is where things got interesting for me. Cody’s answer, the way he handled it, it made me think he was maybe going against some unwritten rule or something. It was like, you know, you don’t talk about certain things in public, but he did. Or at least, that’s how it felt to me.
My Little Experiment
This whole thing got me curious. I started digging around a bit, just to see what else I could find out about Cody. Turns out, the guy’s doing pretty well for himself. I read somewhere that he’s making around $3 million a year now after winning that big championship at WrestleMania 40. Talk about a glow-up! He’s really “finishing his story,” as they say.
But here’s where it gets a little more personal. I had this situation at work recently where there was a rule, a pretty strict one, and I was tempted to break it. It wasn’t anything major, nothing that would get me fired or anything. But it was one of those rules that everyone kind of knows is there, but nobody really talks about.
I ended up not breaking the rule. It wasn’t worth the risk, you know? But seeing Cody at that press conference, the way he handled that question about Vince, it made me think. Maybe sometimes it’s okay to push the boundaries a little. Not break the rules outright, but maybe, you know, test the limits a bit.
- Read about Cody Rhodes’ new contract.
- Watched the Bash in Berlin press conference.
- Reflected on a personal situation at work.
- Considered the implications of breaking or bending rules.
Anyway, that’s my little story. It’s not as exciting as a WWE match, but it’s something that’s been on my mind lately. It’s interesting how a headline about a wrestler can make you think about your own life and the choices you make. It is funny that I heard Cody suffered cervical swelling and was kept overnight at a local hospital for observation. I hope he feels better. And it also seems like Randy Orton is always there to help Cody Rhodes, how sweet. Sometimes, we just need to be careful and take care of ourselves.
In the end, I decided not to do what Cody did, I respected the unwritten rule, and that’s okay. I think there is a time and a place to push back or speak your mind, but you have to pick your battles.
