Thinking About That Chas McCormick Wedding News
So, I saw some chatter online about Chas McCormick getting married. Good for him. It got me thinking, actually. Not really about the wedding itself, you know, I wasn’t there or anything. But it reminded me of the whole vibe around the Astros during that big run they had.

I remember trying to get tickets to one of the games back then. It was a whole process, let me tell you. First, I spent like an hour just trying to figure out which games he was most likely to play in, checking lineups and stuff. Then, I went online to the official site, hoping to snag something decent. Of course, everything good was either gone or cost an arm and a leg.
So, I started looking at those resale sites. Man, that was a wild ride. Prices were all over the place. I’d find something that looked okay, click on it, and bam! Fees added on that nearly doubled the price. I must have clicked through maybe twenty different listings.
- Checked the official team site first.
- Scoured three different resale platforms.
- Compared prices like crazy.
- Almost gave up, honestly.
Eventually, I found some seats that weren’t completely terrible, price-wise. Upper deck, way out there, but hey, I’d be in the building. Went through the whole checkout process, typed in my card details, held my breath, and finally got the confirmation email. Felt like I’d won a mini-lottery just getting the tickets.
Going to the actual game was something else. The energy was just nuts. Seeing guys like McCormick out there, making plays, it was cool to see it live after all that effort just to get in the door. You really felt the connection the city had with the team then.
So yeah, seeing the wedding news just sort of brought back that memory. The hustle to get tickets, the excitement of the game. It’s funny how one little piece of news can send you down memory lane like that. Happy for the guy, hope it was a great day for them.
