Okay, so I wanted to mess around with creating something, you know, just for fun. And the name “Charis Grace” popped into my head. Sounded kinda cool, right? So, I started with practically nothing, just a blank slate.
First, I brainstormed. What could “Charis Grace” even be? A person? A brand? A feeling? I jotted down a bunch of random ideas, like maybe it’s a fancy soap, or a character in a story, or even a type of dance move. I didn’t really know where I was going with it, but that’s okay.
Fleshing It Out
Next, I picked one of those random ideas. I decided Charis Grace was going to be the name of a fictional character. I started thinking about her personality. Is she super elegant? Is she clumsy but lovable? I imagined her appearance, her backstory, everything.
- I wrote down some basic traits: kind, a little shy, loves to read, maybe has a secret talent.
- Then, I sketched out a quick drawing. It wasn’t anything amazing, just a stick figure, really, but it helped me visualize her.
- I scribbled some notes about her family, her friends, her dreams. It started to feel like a real person was taking shape.
After that, I tried to write a short scene with Charis Grace in it. Just a little snippet of a story, maybe her meeting someone new, or facing a small challenge. It was rough, really rough, but it was a start. I kept re-writing parts of it, moving things around, changing the dialogue.
Making It ‘Real’
I even played around with creating a simple social media profile for her, just for fun. It felt silly, but it also helped me think about how she would present herself to the world.
Finally, I looked back at everything I had done. It wasn’t perfect, not even close, but it was something. I had taken a random name, “Charis Grace,” and turned it into… well, the beginnings of something. And that felt pretty good. I realised it is a process, and will be improved.
