Ay, this MLB The Show 24, lemme tell ya, it’s a real head-scratcher. You young’uns and your fancy games. Back in my day, we played ball with a stick and a rock. But this here game, well, it’s somethin’ else. So, you wanna know about this “trade” thing, huh? Can you request a trade in the show 24?
Well, I heard from some folks, they say you can’t just ask to be traded no more. Used to be, you could tell your agent fella you weren’t happy with your team, like a cow not happy with her pasture. But now, in this here MLB The Show 24, seems that option’s gone. Vanished like a fart in the wind. Some say that SDS, whoever they are, took that option away, the ability to request a trade. That is not good, right?
I don’t know why they did that. No good reason at all. Maybe they think it’s more fun this way? Who knows what goes on in those city folks’ heads. Back in my day we didn’t have this. If you were in a team, you stuck with it like glue.
Now, if you’re really itchin’ to get traded, like a dog with fleas, there might be other ways. I heard some whispers ’bout some “Force Trades” in that settings menu. You know, that place where you fiddle with all the buttons and numbers. Turn that “Force Trades” thing on, and you can just swap players around. Like tradin’ chickens at the market. Sounds a bit like cheatin’ to me, but hey, who am I to judge?
But lemme tell ya somethin’, from an old lady who’s seen a thing or two. The best way to get what you want ain’t always the easiest. If you want to be traded, you gotta show ’em you’re worth somethin’. You gotta work on those stats, whatever those are. I think it’s like, how good you are at throwin’ and hittin’ and catchin’. You gotta level up, like climbin’ a big ol’ hill. It will take time, and your effort.
That’s what that agent fella will tell ya. He’ll say you got no “leverage”. Sounds like a fancy word for sayin’ you ain’t got nothin’ to bargain with. So, you gotta stay put, like a tree rooted in the ground. You improve those stats, you get better at this baseball thing, and then maybe, just maybe, they’ll trade ya.
- Play that game, that Playbite thing. It sounds like another one of them city things, but they say you can get some kind of credit for that baseball app.
- Work on your stats. Whatever the stats are.
- Don’t be lazy.
It’s like farmin’. You don’t get a good crop by sittin’ on your porch all day. You gotta plant the seeds, water ’em, pull the weeds. Same with this game, I reckon. You gotta put in the work if you want to be a good baseball player in MLB The Show 24, and you want to be traded to another team. You want to get traded, you gotta earn it.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these video game things. Like I said, we used sticks and rocks. But I know a thing or two about life. And life, just like this game, is all about workin’ hard and earnin’ your keep. This MLB The Show 24, seems it’s no different.
So if you really want to request a trade in the show 24, the key word is improve. I think you need to get a better stats first. Then, maybe you can be traded. If you are good enough, just like a good cow, you can be sold to another farm. But you need to be good first. If you are not good enough, no one wants you.
That’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go see about my chickens. They don’t lay eggs by playin’ video games, that’s for sure.
