Okay, so, I’ve been grinding away at this “Pirates 20 Win Season” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I wanted to share my whole process, from the very beginning to actually hitting that 20-win mark.

The Setup
First things first, I started by picking my team. Obviously, it had to be the Pirates. No-brainer, right? Then, I dug into the game modes. I decided to focus on regular season games, because, you know, that’s where the real challenge is, at least for me.
Early Struggles
Initially, I was all over the place. I was losing games left and right. My pitching was a mess, my hitting was inconsistent, and my fielding… well, let’s just say I made a lot of errors. I think I started something like 2-8. It was rough. Seriously rough.
Turning Point
But, I’m not one to give up easily. I started watching some YouTube videos, and reading some forum posts. And, more important than anything, I just kept playing. It sounds dumb, but you just get better the more you play. Slowly and surely I just kept getting better.
- I adjusted my pitching strategy, focusing more on mixing up pitches and hitting the corners of the strike zone.
- I worked on my timing at the plate, trying to be more patient and wait for good pitches to hit. And boy, do I mean WORKED ON.
- I spent a lot of time in practice mode, just working on fielding drills. Ground ball after ground ball, pop up after pop up. It’s repetitive, but it builds that muscle memory.
The Grind
After that, it was just a grind. I played game after game, slowly improving my record. Some games were nail-biters, coming down to the last out. Others were blowouts, where I just crushed the other team. But every game, win or lose, I learned something.
Hitting the Mark
Finally, after what felt like forever, I won that 20th game. It was such a relief! I actually jumped up and cheered. My wife thought I was crazy, but hey, it was a big accomplishment for me.

Post-20 Wins
Even after I got to 20 wins, I still had a lot of season left. I played around and tried to see how far I could get. It was pretty cool!
So yeah, that’s my “Pirates 20 Win Season” story. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely rewarding. I hope this helps anyone else out there trying to do the same thing. Just keep practicing, keep learning, and don’t give up!
