Okay, so yesterday I decided to dive into this “Billboard Investigator” thing in Star Rail. I’d heard some chatter about hidden achievements and a quest, and I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff. It all starts in this place called the Golden Hour. You gotta use the Aideen Park Space Anchor to get there. I spent a good few minutes just figuring that out, running around like a headless chicken.
Once I got to the right spot, I headed east towards this Clockie Food Truck. I even treated myself to a virtual snack, you know, for the full experience. Then, I walked south and bumped into this Intellitron named Xunsang. This guy was singing his heart out to a crowd in front of a hotel. I stood there for a bit, enjoying the show. Xunsang, you’ve got some pipes!
Finding All Animated Billboards
Turns out, Xunsang is the key to this whole hidden quest. The main goal was to track down seven animated billboards scattered around. Sounds easy, right? Wrong! These things are sneaky. I found the first couple pretty quickly, but then it turned into a real scavenger hunt. I’m pretty sure I walked every inch of that virtual world.
- The first billboard: It was chilling near a staircase. Easy peasy.
- The second billboard: Played hide and seek behind a building. Took me a while to spot it.
- The third one: This one was tricky, disguised as part of the scenery. I almost missed it!
- The fourth and fifth: Found them relatively close to each other, which was a relief after searching for so long.
- The sixth billboard: This one required some serious detective work. It was tucked away in a corner I hadn’t even explored before.
- The seventh billboard: The final one had me running in circles. But I finally found it, hiding in plain sight. Sneaky billboard!
Getting the Achievements
After interacting with all seven, I finally got the “We Are All Friends Here” achievement. Feels good, man. But that’s not all! There’s another one called “Bill – Board” that you get by making a billboard get hit by a car. I tried this a few times, and let me tell you, it’s harder than it sounds. You gotta time it just right. I managed to do it eventually, though. Pure luck, I swear.
I also stumbled upon some kind of crime scene during my billboard hunt. There wasn’t much to go on, but it definitely piqued my interest. I heard something about investigating the victim’s whereabouts, which sounds like a whole other adventure. “There just weren’t enough clues at the scene. I plan to investigate the victim’s whereabouts leading up to their deaths.”, someone said, I guess that would be me later. “I’ll wait for your good news. When you crack the case.” they added. Sounds like a heavy burden, hope I can make it.
So, that was my day playing detective in Star Rail. A lot of walking, a bit of singing, some car-dodging action, and a whole lot of billboard hunting. Now, onto the next mystery! I gotta say, this game knows how to keep you hooked.
