Okay, so today I decided to dive into “Gale Lewis Zone Wars” in Fortnite. I’ve heard some buzz about it and, well, I’m always up for a good challenge.

First things first, I launched Fortnite and navigated to the Creative mode. Finding the map was a little tricky. I typed in “Gale Lewis Zone Wars” in the search bar, but nothing came up, and I was Like, “am I spelling it wrong?”.
Then I realize I can input the island code, and I remember I don’t know it, what a bad memory I have. I spend sometime to find the code, and finally I got it.
The Action Begins!
Once I got into the game, wow, it was intense! Straight away, players were building like crazy and the storm circle was already closing in. It’s classic zone wars – you’re constantly on the move, scavenging for weapons and materials, and trying to outmaneuver your opponents.
My first few rounds? Let’s just say they didn’t go so well. I kept getting caught off guard, my building skills were rusty, and I was basically a walking target. But hey, that’s part of the learning curve, right?
I started to get the hang of it after a while. I focused on staying near the edge of the storm, trying to anticipate where the next zone would be. This helped me avoid getting pinched between multiple enemies.

I also learned to prioritize certain weapons. The pump shotgun, of course, is king in close-quarters combat. And having a decent assault rifle for mid-range engagements is crucial.
Building is Key
One thing I quickly realized is that your building skills are EVERYTHING in this mode. You need to be able to quickly throw up walls and ramps for protection, edit them efficiently, and use them to gain high ground.
I spent some time just practicing my building in between rounds. I worked on my 90s, my edits, and just generally trying to be faster and more fluid with my movements. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I can feel myself improving.
My Overall Impression
So, after a few hours of battling it out in “Gale Lewis Zone Wars”, I’m pretty hooked. It’s a fast-paced, challenging, and super rewarding mode. It really forces you to improve your mechanics, your game sense, and your ability to think on your feet.
If you’re looking for a way to sharpen your Fortnite skills, I definitely recommend giving it a try. Just be prepared to get destroyed a few times before you start seeing results. I also suggest you to keep moving to avoid getting shot.
