Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Honkai Star Rail lately, and one thing that always bugged me was figuring out which Curios are actually worth grabbing. So, I decided to make my own little tier list, just for myself, really, but I thought, why not share it?

First, I spent a good chunk of time just playing the game normally, trying out different Curios as I stumbled upon them. I wanted to get a real feel for how they impacted my runs, you know? No spreadsheets, no guides, just pure, unadulterated gameplay.
Then, I started jotting down some notes. Seriously, just a simple text file on my computer. I’d write down the name of the Curio, what it did (in my own words, not that fancy game jargon), and then a quick impression – good, bad, meh.
After a few weeks of this, I started to see some patterns. Certain Curios were consistently awesome, always making my runs smoother. Others? Total duds. And some were just…okay, depending on the situation.
So, I took my messy notes and started organizing them. I created a few basic tiers:
- S-Tier:The absolute best, always grab these.
- A-Tier: Really good, definitely pick these up.
- B-Tier:Situational but helpful.
- C-Tier: Just take if you need to.
- D-Tier:Why do this even exist?
I then went through each Curio and slotted it into a tier based on my experiences. It was a little bit subjective, I admit, but it was based on my gameplay, which is what I cared about.

Some easy calls for * was anything that give extra damage or * ones is really about what worked for me.
For A-Tier, I put Curios that were consistently helpful, maybe not game-breaking, but definitely * example, those could give me a little benifit in battle.
B-Tier was for the “it depends” Curios. Things that were really good in specific situations, but not always. Such as, if you’ve already got a ton of healing, a Curio that boosts healing might not be as valuable.
C-Tier, mostly I can take them if I have no other choice.
And the D-Tier? Well, let’s just say there are some Curios that I actively avoid now. The effect is negative, just don’t take it.

Finally, I had my own personal Curio tier list! It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely not based on any hardcore meta analysis, but it’s been super helpful for me in my own runs. It’s helped me make quicker decisions and prioritize the Curios that I know will actually make a difference.
