Okay, so I’ve been getting into collecting baseball cards lately, and I saw some buzz about the Topps Aaron Judge cards. I figured, why not try to snag a few and see what the hype is all about?

First, I hit up my local card shop. You know, the kind of place with that old-school, dusty smell and boxes piled everywhere. I asked the guy behind the counter about Aaron Judge cards, and he pointed me to a few different sections.
- There were the new Topps packs, still sealed. Always a gamble, but exciting!
- Then, there was a binder full of individual cards, protected in plastic sleeves.
- And finally, a glass case with some pricier, graded cards.
I decided to grab a couple of the new packs – gotta love that feeling of ripping them open! I also flipped through the binder, looking for any Judge cards that caught my eye. The graded ones in the case were cool, but a bit out of my budget for today.
The Hunt Begins!
I tore into the first pack. No Judge. Bummer. But hey, I got a few other decent players, so not a total loss. The second pack, though… bam! There it was, a shiny Aaron Judge base card. Nothing super fancy, but I was still stoked. It’s like, you know you want that one spcific card! That’s him.
Next, I went back to the binder. I found a couple more Judge cards: a cool insert with a picture of him mid-swing and a throwback card to one of his rookie years. I decided to pick those up too. The prices were pretty reasonable.
The Final Tally
So, after about an hour of digging and browsing, I walked out with a small stack of Aaron Judge cards. Not a bad haul for my first try! I’ve got them slipped into protective sleeves now, and they’re sitting proudly on my desk.

Honestly, it was more about the thrill of the hunt than anything else. It’s kind of addictive, this whole card collecting thing. I can definitely see myself doing this again soon. Maybe next time I’ll even try to find one of those autographed ones… Now I have that specific image in my head!
