Okay, so I was messing around with crossword puzzles the other day, and I kept running into this clue: “_ de France.” I’m not a huge cycling fan, so I was totally stumped. At first, I just left it blank, hoping the other words would eventually give it away.
I tried a few random guesses, like “MAP” or “AREA.” No luck. The crossing words weren’t helping at all.
My Breakthrough
Then, it hit me! What about “Tour”? so I quickly searched for the answer on a website, and finally i got it.
- I filled in “TOUR” and boom – it fit perfectly! All the crossing words suddenly made sense.
- I realized “Tour de France” is that super famous bike race.
- I felt pretty good about finally cracking that clue. It’s always satisfying to solve a puzzle, even if it takes a little while.
From now on, whenever I see “_ de France,” I’ll know exactly what to do. It’s amazing how much you can learn just from doing crosswords!
