So, I’ve been diving deep into Wuthering Waves lately, specifically checking out the new 2.0 update, “Burning Light Jade.” Man, it’s been a ride! I started by just wandering around the new area, Rinascita, they call it. It’s pretty huge, and there’s so much to do.
First thing I did was try to grab all the new characters, or “resonators” as they’re named in the game. There are five new ones: Phoebe, Brant, Roccia, and Zani. I spent a good chunk of time figuring out how each of them works, what their skills are, and all that. Each one is pretty unique, which is cool.
Then I got into the quests. There are a bunch of new side quests and exploration quests. One of them, “Shadows of the Past,” had me running all over the place, but it was worth it. I got some nice rewards and learned a bit more about the story. The exploration quests are fun too. You just explore around, find hidden stuff, solve some puzzles, pretty chill but still engaging. I really dug into these, trying to uncover every secret I could.
- Tried out all the new resonators.
- Completed a bunch of side quests.
- Explored every nook and cranny of Rinascita.
- Found some hidden chests and collectibles.
Speaking of hidden stuff, I spent a lot of time using that interactive map they have. It shows where all the treasure chests, sonance caskets, and other collectibles are. I’m a bit of a completionist, so I wanted to find everything. It took a while, but I managed to clear out most of the map. It’s satisfying to see all those markers disappear as I find stuff.
One thing I really like about this update is how much freedom you have. You can just go wherever you want and do whatever you want. It’s not like you’re stuck on a linear path. I spent hours just exploring, fighting enemies, and soaking in the scenery. It’s a nice change of pace from some other games where you’re always following a set path.
I woke up as this character called Rover, and it’s been a wild ride ever since. The story is pretty interesting, and I’m still trying to piece everything together. But I enjoy how they’ve made it so you can experience the story at your own pace. You can focus on the main quests, or you can just do your own thing. It’s up to you.
What I Achieved
After all that exploring and questing, I feel like I’ve really gotten a good grasp of what the “Burning Light Jade” update has to offer. I’ve got all the new resonators, found a ton of collectibles, and completed most of the new quests. There’s still a lot more to do, but I’m having a blast so far. This game has really sucked me in, and I can’t wait to see what else they add in the future.
The official subreddit for Wuthering Waves was a real help. It’s a great place to find tips and tricks. It helped me with my completionist dreams. I also found some guides, that helped me out when I got stuck on a couple of those tricky puzzles. Teamwork makes the dream work!
Anyway, that’s my experience with Wuthering Waves 2.0 so far. If you’re into open-world action RPGs, you should definitely give it a try. Just be prepared to lose a lot of hours to it, like I did!
