Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another story from my little experiments. Today, it’s all about that Rory McIlroy Nike shirt. You know, that professional golfer, pretty famous dude. Yeah, I went down that rabbit hole.
So, first things first, I had to find out what this whole Rory McIlroy Nike getup was about. I heard some chatter about it at the DP World Tour Championship and figured, why not? I’m a curious guy.
I started digging around. Turns out, this guy’s got a massive $200 million deal with Nike over 10 years. That’s a lot of dough! He’s basically the poster boy for Nike Golf since 2013. That’s when the whole partnership started. I wasn’t following golf closely back then, so this was news to me.
Then, I started looking into the actual gear. What was Rory wearing? I checked out a few sites, trying to get a good look.
- Nike Legacy91 Golf Hat: Found this one. It’s a simple, comfy hat. Nothing too flashy, but it’s got that Dri-FIT tech to keep you dry.
- Nike Dry Vapor Fog Print Polo Shirt: This one’s made from polyester and spandex. It’s supposed to be super breathable, you know, for those hot days on the course.
- Nike Flex CORE Golf Trouser: These are your standard, flat-front golf pants. They’ve got that stretchy material, so I guess they’re comfy for swinging.
- Nike Roshe G Men’s Golf Shoe: These shoes look pretty casual, like something you could wear off the course too. They’re made of mesh, so they’re probably light and airy.
I also found the Nike Dry Victory Solid Long Sleeve Golf Polo Shirt on Nike’s website. It comes in blue, white, and black. Looks pretty sharp.
After that, I hit up DICK’S Sporting Goods online ’cause they had a bunch of Rory’s stuff. I saw a bunch of things.
- Nike Men’s Legacy91 Tech Hat: $26.00, not bad.
- TaylorMade 2021 Tp5x Golf Balls: $34.99, I guess these are the balls he uses.
- Nike Men’s Chino Golf Pants: $42.73.
- Nike Men’s Dri-FIT Tour Jacquard: $80.00, getting pricier.
- Nike Men’s Tour Repel 5-Pocket: $100.00, oof, that’s steep.
- Nike Men’s Dri-FIT Victory Golf Zip: $75.00.
- Nike Men’s Stretch Woven Golf Belt: $42.00.
- Nike Men’s Carbon Fiber Matte: $38.00.
So yeah, I basically went through all of Rory McIlroy’s Nike gear. From head to toe. It was a fun little dive into the world of golf fashion. Turns out, dressing like a pro golfer can get pretty expensive, especially if you’re going all-in on the Nike stuff. But hey, if you’ve got the cash and you’re into golf, why not?
