So, I’ve been digging into this whole “Weapons of Sorrow” thing in Destiny 2, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. These things are seriously messed up, but in a really cool way, you know? I mean, they’re basically regular weapons that have been twisted and corrupted by Hive magic, turning them into these instruments of pure destruction.
First off, I started by just trying to understand what these weapons even are. Apparently, they’re a big deal in the Destiny universe, known for causing all sorts of chaos and misery. After some research, it became apparent that these weapons are not only extremely powerful but also come with a dark history. The lore behind them is both fascinating and terrifying.
Next, I wanted to see these bad boys in action. I managed to get my hands on a few of them, and whoa, they do not disappoint. We’re talking about high reload speed, massive magazine sizes, and handling that’s smoother than butter. Plus, the aim assist on these things is insane.
Confirmed Weapons of Sorrow
From what I gathered, there are a few weapons that are definitely considered Weapons of Sorrow:
- Thorn: This hand cannon is a classic. It shoots these nasty, poisonous rounds that just eat away at your enemies. Using it felt awesome, but also kind of wrong at the same time.
- Osteo Striga: An exotic submachine gun that fires sentient, toxic projectiles. It felt like having a swarm of angry bees at my command.
- Necrochasm: This auto rifle is a beast. Back in Destiny 1, it was known for its Cursed Thrall explosions, making it super effective in close-quarters combat. Can’t wait until it returns to Destiny 2.
There was also this raid, Crown of Sorrow, that had a bunch of these weapons. The raid itself is gone now. I remember grinding through it back in the Season of Opulence. I managed to snag a few weapons from that raid, but I heard they are not the confirmed Weapons of Sorrow.
Other Potential Weapons of Sorrow
Then there are other weapons that people think might be Weapons of Sorrow, but it’s not totally clear:
- Witherhoard: It’s this grenade launcher that shoots out these pools of Blight, which are pretty gnarly. However, the classification of Witherhoard as a Weapon of Sorrow is still under debate among the community.
- Bad Juju: An attempt to make a Weapon of Sorrow but it wasn’t entirely successful.
- Deathbringer: Same as Bad Juju.
Honestly, using these weapons made me feel like a total badass, but also a little bit uneasy. It’s like, you can feel the darkness in them, the history of all the terrible things they’ve done. It’s a trip, man.
So yeah, that’s my deep dive into the Weapons of Sorrow. It’s been a blast learning about them and getting to use them in-game. If you’re a Destiny 2 player and you haven’t messed around with these things yet, you’re missing out. Just be prepared for the weird mix of power and creepiness that comes with them.
