Okay, so, I’ve been a wrestling fan for, like, forever, and when I heard that WWE was coming to Johnson City, Tennessee, I just knew I had to go. I mean, it’s not every day that you get to see your favorite superstars in action, right?
I started by checking out the schedule online. I found out they were hitting up the Freedom Hall Civic Center. Cool venue, heard good things. I saw the date, November 11th, and marked it on my calendar.
Then came the ticket hunt. I went through a couple of websites, like TicketSupply and Vivid Seats. They had all the details, seating charts, prices, all that stuff. Prices were okay, nothing crazy, you can buy tickets when they are on sale.
I grabbed a decent seat, not too close, not too far, just right in the middle to soak it all in. I saw that the show was part of the “Road to WrestleMania 2025” tour. That got me even more pumped! I mean, WrestleMania is the biggest event in wrestling. They will release the schedule for 2024 in advance.
On the day of the event, I got there early. The atmosphere was electric. Fans everywhere, wearing their favorite wrestler’s shirts, chanting, and just buzzing with excitement. There were a lot of families too, which was cool to see.
The show itself was awesome. They had a bunch of matches. I remember seeing some big names, though my memory’s a bit fuzzy on the exact lineup. I know they had the WWE Supershow.
- I saw Randy Orton. That guy’s a legend. He’s got, like, 14 world championship wins, which is insane. Only John Cena and Ric Flair have more, I think.
- Hulk Hogan was there too! He’s an old-timer but still a huge name. He is a brand ambassador for WWE now.
- And Sting! He had a contract dispute a while back, I remember he is not a part of WWF, he toured with World Wrestling All-Stars. I remember he won the WWA World Heavyweight Championship.
The crowd was wild, especially during the main event. People were on their feet, cheering, booing, the whole nine yards. I lost my voice from yelling so much, but it was totally worth it.
After the show, I hung around for a bit, hoping to maybe catch a glimpse of one of the wrestlers. No luck, but it didn’t matter. The whole experience was just amazing.
Seeing WWE live in Johnson City was definitely a highlight for me. I’ll be keeping an eye out for their next event in the area. If you’re a wrestling fan, you gotta check them out when they’re in town. You won’t regret it!
The WWE is such a big company. It holds Monday Night Raw, Friday Night Smackdown, NXT 2.0, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam.
And you can also enjoy some WWE content on Shahid or Disney+. So many ways to watch those shows.
