Alright, so last weekend I went to see WWE in Columbia, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. I’ve been a wrestling fan for years, but this was my first time seeing it live. Got my tickets way in advance, super excited.
Getting There
The event was at the Colonial Life Arena. I drove down, and parking wasn’t too bad. Found a spot a few blocks away and walked over. The atmosphere was electric even before getting inside. Fans everywhere, wearing their favorite wrestler’s t-shirts, chanting, and just buzzing with anticipation.
Inside the Arena
Once I got inside, I grabbed a soda and some popcorn – gotta have those arena snacks, right? Then, I found my seat. It wasn’t ringside, but it was a pretty good view. The arena was packed. Families, groups of friends, even some folks dressed up as wrestlers. It was a total mix of people, all there for the same reason – to see some wrestling.
The Show
The show started, and the crowd went wild. The energy was insane! They had a bunch of matches, and each one was more exciting than the last. The wrestlers came out, and the place erupted. There were some serious high-flying moves, slams, and all that good stuff. They even had a couple of title matches, which were intense.
I noticed that all the show was live, about 3 hours. I thought it would be on Sunday, but actually, it was on Saturday, maybe because I saw it was RAW. And everyone held a clear plastic bag, which I guess is their rule.
- Biggest Pop: When the main event started, the whole arena was on its feet. The crowd was so loud; I could barely hear the announcers.
- Best Match: There was this one tag team match that was just non-stop action. These guys were jumping off the ropes, doing all sorts of crazy moves. Definitely the highlight of the night for me.
- Funny Moment: At one point, one of the wrestlers started arguing with the ref, and it was hilarious. The whole crowd was laughing.
Meeting Some Wrestlers
After the show, I heard there was a meet and greet with some of the wrestlers. I didn’t have a special pass, but I hung around anyway. I ended up meeting a couple of them, got a picture and an autograph. They were super cool, taking time to chat with fans. It was a nice way to end the night.
Overall Thoughts
Going to see WWE live was an awesome experience. It’s way different than watching it on TV. The energy of the crowd, seeing the wrestlers up close, it’s just something else. If you’re a wrestling fan and you get a chance to go, I totally recommend it. It’s a night full of fun, action, and just a great time.
So yeah, that was my WWE adventure in Columbia. Can’t wait for the next one!
